the poem was class, well written n ambigious n i know what you mean about the accent on it but the way it was spoken is what made the poem what is was and gave it its charm, though i see that your annoyed that its not same old alex turner, id rather have him speak like that on the poem than how he spoke at the appolo gigs.

I'm not one who thinks Arctic Monkeys should make replica albums of their debut as that would be hypocritical and result in some appalling music, but that poem wasn't very good in the slightest, its just because it was Alex Turner everyone consequently believed it must have been genius

but i agree he shouldnt sound like that on the 3rd, i imagine his voice will be the same. n i dont think just because its alex turner it must be genius, i think the first monkeys album is lyrically pretty weak compared the second and the last shadow puppets stuff with the exception of a few lines and a certain romance, it was just different, i didnt expect it but it conjured a great image and it was quite clever.

I thought that Killers were alright when first album came out, but they gradually become a bigger joke all the time, and that fucking song, 'human' is probably the worst song I've heard forever, just rediculous.

meh theyve got a few good tunes but theyve no idea how to write an album, brandon seems a nice guy though n i actually quite like human, second verse is great.

When people mention alex turners poem do they mean the short story he wrote for Matt Helders thing?
If so, why on earth are people thinking its poor? I think it is fantastic, and not just because it is Alex Turner. I would be interested to know why people think it is poor piece of work.
