I love a good quote  Shows they must be doing something good if lyrics to come to mind for certain situations... Love it! Lyrics come to mind in everyday moments but I can't go blurting them out when working in peoples houses ha Anyway, I'm sure Luke was just having the crack, we need a bit of joy around here at the moment  |

I'm hoping for a heavier, more aggressive album, although I don't feel that's the route The Courteeners are going to take on the next record.
I'm hoping for more tracks like Sycophant and Cavorting.
As I keep saying 'I'm Hoping' but that's what I'd like to see.
Does anybody else think there'll be a UK Tour/Gigs etc. at the end of 2010?

what the f*ck's happened on here :S for what it's worth, i'd also like the rest of the band to stand out more on the next album. guitars and drums are much less prominent on falcon. this isn't to the detriment of the album though, i think it's up there with the best to come out of manchester since definitely maybe. love it man. |

I don't come on here to 'insult' Ant, or anybody for that matter. This thread has acted as a shop window for the massive embarrassment that this place causes. If I do come across as insulting, then it may only be because of you and your completely moronic views and posts on this forum. If you look through the 'kokainekinney' posts in any thread, then they present GENUINE points and replies to yours, and anybody else's posts. I can't get my head around you, you make iffy comments about the band/album earlier on in the thread, then by the 7th page, you suddenly change your tune after some bad feedback, resulting in you deciding to make a b-sides album (which by the way, is completely laughable along with the fanzines, biographies and whatever other means of stalking techniques you have in the pipeline). I honestly dread to think. There are some good people on this forum, and I would like to post more often talking about enjoyable days/nights on the tours.....but you just get involved in petty little arguments with people who have nothing better to do than to spend all their time on here. This place is an embarrassment and you blame anybody but yourself. Get out, leave the house, go to gigs.....do anything but sit on here all day, it'll do you no favours. Bye for now, Dec. |

Let's draw a line under all of this now, afterall it's only a forum.
Disagreements like this tend to go on so long it all ends up becoming either disrespectful or petty.
I'd much rather talk about The Courteeners in this particular thread.
Does anybody think that's that in terms of singles taken from 'Falcon', or will there be one, maybe two more? If so what tracks?
I think I'd like to hear Sycophant as a double a side backed with a new unheard track.

Ill be the first to admit what I said was over the line and not something I believe, just worded wrong. you keep telling me to go to gigs. you did this with sean. I get to plenty of gigs. so does he. if its such an embarassment, why did you come back? Finally, your whole attitude to the whole forum thing reeks of hypocrisy. To answer your question, I came back because I didn't like my name being thrown around on a forum when I wasn't an active user/poster.

The flaws in some of Falcons lyrics have been discussed on here and I said it was harsh how I worked it. I still find Falcon a brilliant album. Sean was brought up because you said to him what you said to me. As soon as someone disagrees with you, they need to get a life, apparently. Fergal was brought up because he shares many opinions with you yet me and him dont pass comments like this. And no, you dont know the real person, just like I dont know you. thats the way of a forum. simple enough. You are also living up to what I said. But if you have these attitudes about forum users, just dont use them. If you decide to hang around, we can agree to disagree. My own issues...dude...  really? |
