Howyas. Newbie here.
Basically just wondering if there's any rumours as to what festivals if any the band will be playing in the summer? Namely Oxegen. Went to see them last year and they were immense.

i could probably see them doing european festivals abit more this year, maybe the odd american one. perhaps reading/leeds since they didnt do that last year. wouldnt like to think they'd do the same ones.

i dont think theyl do leeds/reading.....cus they seem to like the idea of playing V. if u play v on a decent stage, then u cant play leeds/reading. oxegen is likely, as there seems to be a bit of a simularity between the glasto and oxegen line ups. they are already playing sxsw, so they might gain a bit of yanky popularity what with the mozza stuff. which could lead to america festivals!

I have been having a discussion today with my other half...and my brother and his girlfriend..abut whether to go to leeds/reading or V festival...I went to V last Year and really thought Id got value for money bandwise.....although When Leeds was announced I really wanted to go........I know its a lottery buying tickets before lineups are announced.....where should I go thiss year? ?

id always recommend glastonbury for pure variety, theres always something going on. leeds/reading often seems abit metal inclined (though not like donnington i agree) and V festival seems very grandad rock orientated with stuff like stereophonics.
personally i'd go to benicassim n make a holiday of it

id choose leeds any day. its way more lively, it depends on age tho i recon. if your in your teens and want a good and lively time having a few tins all weekend, then leeds is the right choice. V seems to come across as a lot more chilled out. i went leeds last year and it was class. well worth the 170 quid.

since i live a 3 minute walk from reading festival, and can see the main stage from my roof terrace by the river, i will be going there no matter what!

I would recommend leeds over V any day - I've been to leeds the last 2 years and went to V for the day - leeds is just beta - more bands more laid back - V was good had a class time but girls aloud and equally as shite ppl were on plus loads of no crowd surfing signs and sniffer dogs - nowt like that at leeds..
I reckon teeners will play leeds/reading with a decent slot in NME tent - and I will be there with bells on - also have my glasto tickets and am going for the first time!

yeh im going glasto n all! to play in that nme tent tho, the nme have got to bum your band...just think, this year its prob guna be bands like glasvegas and white lies high up the bill. if V put the cash on the table and a nice 5pm onwards slot for courteeners, i think theyl be there. plus, leeds seem to love americans, were as V seem to stick it to british stuff.
green day, kings of leon and arctic monkeys massively rumoured for leeds/reading.
crappy kings of leon! ah well.

I'll buzz like fook if arctic monkeys play leeds my fav band next to teeners.....saw KOL at leeds 2 years ago and at V last year and loved them - but they have gone down in my estimations since new album has been out - what a pile of poo - full of elevator music!
Teeners only got half hour slot at V but crowd reaction was mint - really want them to play leeds - northern festival and all - but if they don't I will have to resist the temptation to go to V for the day again as it was as expenisive as 5 days at leeds..
Proper can't wait for glasto!!

great news about the monkeys just need the courteeners now and ill be in heaven fingers crossed ;D one slight problem in only 16 and the mother wont let me go saying 'its too dangerous, wait a couple of years' is she right? any good persuasive arguments for letting me go would be greatly appreciated i really do not want to miss out all my mates are allowed to go, or they are saying they are anyway x
