just tell your parents they are spoiling your youth.... say outrageous things like 'i wont drink' and stuff like that. i went last year, i was 17 and it was class, all the better when your underage. mention that its a safe environment.... everyone is friendly at festivals, and if youv got your mates around you, then your sorted. just come up with a great argument, with loads of points and back ups etc... also, mention transport, try and get yourself on one of them coaches straight to the festival gates....then the parents will know oyur getting there safely and that. with all that, you should be sorted. unless they are really strict!!!

youl get a free ticket wont you? being a resident and all that? sadly not - they give a few out to people who live virtually next door, but it's a pretty built up area, if they gave them to everyone who lived as near as me they'd end up giving about 5,000 tix away. i normally get crew passes off a mate anyway who sets up the fest (just for cleaner backstage toilets you understand) last year and the year before it was actually more expensive to drink backstage than it was in the bloody arena!

its reyt tho, free entry...plus u can just bob home and go to the toilet instead of buggering around (or not) with the festival bogs.
and on the gcse front, once u get what u need for college, youl never see them again. just get the basics....
u need to give your mum an ultimatum, its wierd how u can go liverpool but not leeds. madness! 180 quid is a big price, but its reyt, once your there and your chilling out with a few cans its top. the music takes 2nd place!

im bitter about glastos this year.
booked the tickets, paid deposits and forgot to pay on the 1st, so looking doubtful im going, unless we ring them and argue, or get one off ebay.
some girl last year got a full weekend ticket 3 days before for £70. Bonus.
or might just keep the money n get away fr a long weekend with the missus.
choices, choices, choices

how can u get one off ebay? will they advertise it as a look a like thing? 70 quid is a deal, i can imagine it being a once in a blue moon thing tho.

70 is a deal but I can't see it being a regular occurance. You want to do Glasto instead of Leeds perhaps, its just after the GCSE's for you and its a bit more "family friendly" (as far as a festival can be!), a bit more tradition to it so mothers seem to be a bit more warm to it, Leeds has a worse reputation. Parents are a stumbling block though, glad mine are fair easy going

the pictures on the tickets are there to try to stop people putting them on ebay and charging stupid amounts.
they also come off easily.

id always recommend glastonbury for pure variety, theres always something going on. leeds/reading often seems abit metal inclined (though not like donnington i agree) and V festival seems very grandad rock orientated with stuff like stereophonics. personally i'd go to benicassim n make a holiday of it Stereophonics are the tits. f*cking awesome live aswell. I'm hoping they play Reading & Leeds because it looks as though that will be the one we end up doing. Only downer for me is that The Courteeners aren't likely to do Reading/Leeds would love to see them at a festival, I missed them at V last year as I only did the Sunday at Staffs. I think I'll probably wait for the line-ups to decide which one I am gonna do this year.
