So they said about 2 months ago lol. I can believe it now, with all the covers and that. And my paypal account has finally been verified in good time. Ha haaaa, Mr Kinney might be nearly done but I'm lagging a bit behind! Nothing much to report as I haven't being able to work on this much last week. I have been working through my records and cd to get rid of the shit/don't wants, that bad I don't think I'd be allowed back on S&C if you had a look ;D I even ended up doing it properly and listing everything in a database!! I need the cash since I'm not working!! So I'll be doing that for a few more days yet... then I've got to list it all on ebay!
Now you know why I've been slacking I can tell you I have been looking for the material of the satchel... again. The 'faux' leather that I found can't be used after all - it has a cotton backing for a start, so the edges wouldn't look good & I'm warming from the idea of the synthetic stuff. So I had another look at the real thing; finding some nice natural leather straight from the hide on ebay, auction though! Also found some used for making school satchels, not bad price either - nice browny/burgundy colour, the only thing it's quite quick. I'm getting there, if I keep searching I find it in the end  |

I'm beginning to tear my hair out with this project now!! Just can't find the right leather/fake leather whatever, it's either not the right colour/shade, too thick, too thin, too plasticy... Ahhhhhh ...don't worry though I'm not giving up! Just thought I'd let you know what's going on because it's been over a month since anything has been mentioned. A favour to ask...please keep an eye out for any material you may think is suitable...it shouldn't be too thick though, approx 2-3mm thick and sturdy |

Errr....sorry to say this is another project on hold  I was really looking forward to giving this away but as with this kind of project cash is an issue, probably my fault by making it more complicated than the usual CD! If I changed it now, without all the fancy packaging/exercise book/inserts and extras, it just wouldn't have the same feel to it. So please bear with me until I can sort myself out, thanks for all the support and patience so far |

Since this is still on hold I think the CD content will be outdated by the time I'm ready to carry on???
Cos' it's a "Story So Far", I think we should consider revising it to feature everything upto the release of the second album, which would give me a lot more time to get it done.
Just wouldn't be much of a story as the tracks Fergal chose only go up to the end of 2008 (I think??), I know Ferg's only wanted quality versions but I know there's been some quality recordings since this came to a halt.
Thoughts?

Just seen Rosie's post in the sampler thread, shame I had to put this on hold, as Rosie said, it made an interesting listen...I'm gutted really! I feel embarrassed for wasting Fergal's time, he put a lot of effort into it. The thing about this now is the content (audio/interviews) needs to be updated, before only 3-4 different sources were being used, which I felt wasn't much variety. Ok, Ferg's only wanted to put on quality audio, no shoddy you tube rips. Oh god I've really drifted away here  To cut it short, I still want to do this but if I can't get the funds for the complex project that I made it be, then it'll be on permanent hold. However, we could have a download version?? Everything up to February 2010 would have to be considered and keep with only quality audio. Any thoughts? |

I were thinking about this t'other day, it's 3/4s finished, I never got round to polishing it off as life got in the way, as so often it does! Could probably get it finished over Christmas mind you, February 2010 release may not be that unrealistic. Up to you Daz, I'd be happy to return to what I had

Yeah I know Fergal, something else always gets in the way or pops up! What do you think about revising it to make the content more varied? We have had more bits of quality audio (like the t in the park session), so I could draw up a list for your deliberation? Like I keep saying, it would make a better compilation, but it would mean more work for you  |
