I am currently working on a new forum CD project...its not dissimilar to the ideas put forward by other members of the forum like but its in a very different format. Its not concrete yet but I'm halfway towards producing a rough copy which I will then perfect and that. Thanks to Fergal for showing initiative and starting the next CD release. I know a bit more about this and sounds a great idea, maybe you can explain a bit more about it in here mate. Is the sampler the one you are sending me? If it is I could upload it and get a direct link on here to save you emailing them every time  |

Aye I'll explain a bit more.
It's 13 live tracks (it might increase, it might decrease, I'm not finished yet) from a selection of different gigs (Academy 2, XFM Winter Wonderland, Glastonbury etc) and is interspersed with interview footage, usually fairly relevant to the song but on other occasions just stuff to do with the gig it were recorded at or just the band in general, from what I've done thus far it's sounding just as I'd hoped in my head, I won't reveal all my sources but I've nicked some interview stuff from that Channel 4 documentary last Christmas, the JD set performance/interview and a few other bits and bats. If anyone has the Q interview from an acoustic gig (can't remember which....) or any other bits like, please let me know.
Darren should have a preview of it posted on here later today

Fergal has a bit of polishing off to do on the sampler, so it'll be delayed. Shouldn't be long though so don't pester him for it  I'll post the download link as soon as I get it |

First I've got to say Fergal has done a fantastic job on this so far, he's got the sound levels near enough spot on (until the last 10 seconds interview clip ), the fading between tracks and that is proper good too! With the tracks Aftershow/Kimberly, Smiths Disco & SlowDown merged together with related interview snippets it all fits brilliantly together I must say... So you can also have a taster by downloading the nearly 12 minute sampler, it's an MPEG4 so it will definitely play in iTunes. Any comments would be most welcome in here Download the sampler |

The sampler download is set on private.
