I've been pondering, is Take Over The World supposed to be littered with cliche? I love it, it's been my faovurite today, it's beautiful, but after he says he'd never written a cliche and probably never will do so, he goes on about "being true and real", which is fucking cliche. I just thought, Liam is rather fucking smart so maybe he's done it on purpose for sheer irony, but has anyone else thought this? when he says that lyric he's trying to impress a girl, so the lyric is one of those white lies you tell someone to get them into you, IE he wants the girl to believe he's not a cliched writer theres also a bit of self delusion there because the whole song is a rock and roll cliche as noted in the NME interview

My copy has come now, names in the booklet Having a crappy day at work so just rammed Sycophant on and im smiling again, tis a great song that can do that........ I can't do that in the cafe of an evil corporate nazi supermarket giant, so I sing and dance Sycophant, and scare customers away So....when im doing my shopping in stockport and see some one doin that Ill know its you!! You ever feel like you got a connection with someone thats singing along to the courteeners?? I got the DJ in my local to play bide your time the other week, and there were 2 guys singing it so i made a bee line for them like we were in some secret club!!!

I was a little bit upset cos when I heard it was different to St Jude...I love st jude...however I also love Falcon - just as much and I've not massively listened to it yet. Just been discussing it and I think it really shows how good the courteeners are and how important it is to move on cos if you just keep reharshing the same sound you'll be a band like the enemy!
I agree codhead Sycophant is amazing I've been singing it in my head all day! And codhead I used to work in the pool! from good old saltburn!
Overall I love it love it - can't wait till 26th March!

but come on people does cameo brooch not get the credit it deserves its amazing lyrically and his voice sounds like hes lving the story of the song as he sings it.
