Decided to start a new thread, as the other one is full of shit.
Firstly, top stuff. The new songs sound great, really strong stuff. Dead fitting with songs like 'Sychopant', 'The Opener', 'Will It This Way Forever?' then mixed in with slightly softer songs such as 'Cameo Brooch'. A bit of something for everyone....
Destined for, fully deserved, major popularity. Hopefully this will push them into big festival slots and an all round better image (rather than the usual Manc frontman called Liam crap). A really matured album which is here to stay and won't fade away (in my eyes anyway).
Negative reviews come along with every album, whether you are Oasis or O-Zone, a few unnamed members need to learn to take the rough with the smooth.
This new thread had to happen, because you are all focused on having a go at each other rather than talking about and appreciating a great album.
Encourage the band, go to gigs, don't complain and make the most of a top band. Because when they're gone and you are left with The Enemy, you won't be best pleased.
A final point, nice one to Record Store for getting the album out to me early, only time will tell with Universal.
Enjoy it, make the most of it and get on with it.
I thank you.

I'm not one to throw immense amounts of praise at any modern artists, but..... Sycophant - Surely one of the best songs ever written? Got personla favourites in Cameo Brooch and Last Of The Ladies, bring a tear to my eye. Only song that hasn't quite grown on me yet is 'Scratch Your Name Upon My Lips', but it's getting there There is so much to listen to, every song is to itself which only adds to its brilliance.

Fantastic album. This seems like the thread to post praise on, the other one is full of little kids throwing stones at one another. All that rubbish about the leak, it's a miracle it hadn't already leaked and if it gets onto the internet on the day that the CD arrives on peoples doorsteps so what?
Onto the record. Bloody fantastic. On first listen I was dead impressed and it grows from there in some of the more mellow slices. Really really good. Dead well produced, compliments the songs very well. Big sounding and that. Judging from the lyrics, I think somebody is in love, a lot of love songs and that but done very well. The ones I'd already known from gigs and that did not disapoint, the Opener really is an anthem and I hold Sycophant in massively high regard. An album I can see myself coming back to a lot more than St Jude, far more of a full album, really love it. Recordstore were good in getting the record to us but Universal have been pathetic, was quite annoyed on the phone to them the other day. Ah well. Look forward to hearing this tunes on the March tour, Liverpool, Blackpool, Blackburn, Sheffield and Leeds. Bring it on. If any of you are reading this, you should be very proud, you've made a top record.

Well unfortunately Universal are very incompetent so I dont have Falcon yet, can only comment on the handful I have heard in full and I saw The Opener on the Album Chart Show last night and Wow!
Its got such an uplifting feel, then it all simmers down to the middle bit before a big build up, love that middle bit..."miss getting piss wet through" etc. WIBTWF also sounds amazing and the two that have been released.
Cant wait to hear Sycophant in full, this song has been hyped so much and I have a great feeling that it will live up to all expectations!

Not a bad song to me. All of them just sound top. Take Over The World, Last of the Ladies, Sycophant and The Opener would have to be personal favorites so far. Another thing is, I reckon the production is spot on, any thoughts on the production? I know a few people were concerned before it was out.

I think the new album is just, brilliant! It’s a massive step up from St Jude, the songs are, ’bigger’ and have a lot more to them! The lyrics, as always, are absolutely bang on! Especially Sycophant, I’m lovin’ that one! After hearing CMH&HTF and YODID I know a lot of people were like, it’s gonna be overproduced or whatever, but I think they’ve got the balance just right! Straight on repeat … Well done lads!

My only problem with Falcon is that, I can not stop listening to it! It's beautiful. Not taking anything away from St.Jude but it's a cut above. Last of the ladies, Will it be this way Forever, Scratch your name upon my lips, Sycophant & Rest of the world are outstanding.
Mint album, my personal favourite.

So true, it's got that thing about it. I was sitting watching a film yesterday and I couldn't concentrate on the film because I just had the songs in my head, after 1/2 hour I just ditched it and came to listen to it. And I could not sleep for ages because I can't get them out of my head. Quality. Love the production when Liam's voice goes distorted.

I caved! As much as I didnt agree with it, I had to download it, and considering I have tickets to see them, have orderered a t-shirt as well as deluxe album and albums and EP's in the past I thought I was warranted to.
This album is immense, I think that we all knew it was going to be good because we had heard the tunes whether acoustic or live etc but listening to it now, its even that bit better because of the production. Only way I could describe it is heavenly, you just sail whilst you listen expect Sycophant where I just wanna jump around.
10/10 by far, this could be the Courteeners, (What's The Story) Morning Glory in the fact that its just so clean and solid and you dont wanna skip any track!

Yeah totally, just put on Scrath Your Name Upon My Lips again and I was shocked in a very good way, at first I was like this doesnt sound like the preview and then it kicked it and I was just loving it all over and thats probably at the bottom of the list in terms of how the songs rate.
Did this tune surprise anyone else?

Good album, listened to it a few times now. Think it's alot more relaxed than St. Jude and has more of a Elbow feel to it. It has the right balance of more rocky tunes then the acoustic - piano ones. Think it will be played differently live though, like it was at g-mex and blackpool, play them more rockier.
