If The Courteeners were to release 2 more singles off Falcon what do you 1) want them to release? 2) think they will actually release? Judging by what you've heard from Falcon. 1) Take Over The World + Good Times Are Calling 2) Take Over The World + Good Times Are Calling

I love it. Last of the Ladies and Will It Be This Way Forever? are personal favourites atm, I've only listened to it once though Add Meanwhile Back At The Ranch and Forget The Weight Of The World to that as well.

Is anyone else kinda disappointed by The Opener after hearing it live? I love it, but was expecting it to be better, not keen on the end of it either.

Maybe the 'My heart is here, here to stay' part isn't a frenetic as it was live, but nonetheless still a top tune.

I love the start of Good Times Are Calling, excellent song.
Also, Lullaby chorus is lovely, grown each day so far.

This is my first post , but have been reading this forum since december.
I bought falcon yesterday morning and spent all of last night listening to it. After hearing the previews and live stuff i wasnt too sure but i cant stop listening to it. Its a fucking great album , really addictive melodies. It may not be as raw or as hard as St.Jude , but its just as catchy and shows that Liam isnt a one trick pony.
favourite tracks have to be "Rest of the World Has Gone hOme" , "Sycophant" & "Good Times Are Calling".
Beautiful album.

I agree with the comment about the opener being fantastic live, its a shame to have to hear it on a cd after hearing it live a few times. Cameo Brooch has been played about 56 times on my ipod already, I love it! Also love Sycophant and last of the ladies as well as the opener.......just love the whole album really!! Well impressed Cant wait to hear it all live!

what a fantastic album.
anyone who has not bought it yet, dont read the reviews, music is subjective, buy it, get yer headphones on and enjoy. Its a completely different record to St Jude, which to me was a collection of great tracks. Falcon seems to be a finished record, the order and mood of the tracks is perfect.
I love the production, really compliments the style of the songs. massive sounding.
the biggest improvement for me is the Strings and orchestra etc. on That Kiss it seemed to be as if the strings were added as an afterthought, on Falcon, the strings fit in perfectly.
Lullaby is my favourite track on the album at the moment. The chorus is probably the most honest thing that Liam has wrote, and to be fair, all his songs are from the heart.
top marks

I cant understand the reviews....its excellent. I have hardly played anything else since yesterday morning. Maybe the reviewers only play it once.....maybe the reviewers are dicks who would rather have x factor type artists.
Anyway f*ck 'em i love it. Its the third corker of the year for me....Len Price 3 and Charlotte Gainsburgh being the other two. Amy macdonald, gorilaz , the moons and weller to come....already looking like a good year.

I absoloutley LOVE this album. It's so different to any others out there atm. My favourites so far are Sycophant and Lullaby but it changes with every listen! I always knew Liam was a lyrical genius but instead of just having the brillant witty one-liners like in St. Jude, I'm hooked on every word, the songs are like true, personal, meaningful poetry. So yeah, fantastic album! :-)
