I've been pondering, is Take Over The World supposed to be littered with cliche? I love it, it's been my faovurite today, it's beautiful, but after he says he'd never written a cliche and probably never will do so, he goes on about "being true and real", which is fucking cliche. I just thought, Liam is rather fucking smart so maybe he's done it on purpose for sheer irony, but has anyone else thought this?

the album itself is filled with cliche and alot of differing opinions and i just think it shows that its come straight from his mind depending on moods n so on.

Alot of contradiction etc etc. Perhaps so, writes a song one day, then feels different the next and writes another. I don't know how it works, whether or not the cliche is for the purpose of irony (which would be so fucking smart), the song itself is still mega.

I think it is sort of intentionally clichéd in parts, reminds me a bit of how Weller used to do that with the Style Council, there's no shame in it I don't think

definitely not any shame, i think its still presented in an original way for the most part anyway. and then just when last of the ladies seems cliched he starts going on about new order. its different cliche to the likes of say...snow patrol.

Scratch Your Name Upon My Lips is excellent. Just thought I'd mention that. When I first listened to it, It sounded too simple in comparison to other tracks on Falcon. However over the last few days, I'm loving the riff, guitars etc.
Also how moody is the guitar sound on Will It Be This Way Forever? Dark yet Big.

sainsburys is stupid, didnt even have the courteeners. you should tell justin king ant. scratch your name upon my lips is one of my favorites, love the way he uses his voice on it. i don't care if it's cliched, the 'i'm true, i'm real and this is how i feel' part is one of my favorites. such a sing a long lyric. love the bit 'i'm just a paperboy from the northwest' too. for obvious reasons.

the lyrics; i looked into her eyes and i swore, i've never written a cliche before, and i'll probably never do so, she was beautiful though, are just lovely. stood out for me when i listened to it. and also, at my sainsburys the deal of the week is now a combination of kasabian and mumford and sons
