the idea of 3 nights at apollo is a bit silly.
hometown gigs should be special....
they need to keep them very limited.
if they didnt do a manchester date for a while, it would only mean a preston and a warrington (or similar places) date instead, which would probably be better.
would just mean you had to travel a bit.

1 gig at a bigger venue would be better than 3 at a smaller one. All that concerns me is fitting all the fans in, there will always be someone who misses out, but as long as they fit plenty in. Just about finding the right venue, could realy do with somewhere that holds like 7-8000 rather than 3000 or 20,000.

thats the thing with manchester....if your good but not massive you are buggered.
average-good bands play apollo, but after that there is nowhere else. manchester needs a 7,000-9,000 capacity venue.

From past experience if you want a ticket you'll always be able to get one if you're there on time and that

ticket website, well the lliverpool tikets sold old quick, but they are always on ebay until last day, the one I put on was the last one anyone could find, onlt asked for face value, couldn't make money out of them. If you want a ticket, you can get one, though you might end up spending 5 or so quid over face value.

all the courteeners gigs iv been to before have been face value so i dont even know what im worried about !

I agree with the city hall gigs (as long as middlesbrough town hall gets a look in). Arctics did this just before second album came out. But any gigs would be great - I've missed courteeners so much!! Think Irlam said in another thread he hasn't been to as many gigs this year as well but there is just nothing taking my fancy!!

I am happy for them to do as many manc dates as needs be as I like to go to any local gigs plus the manchester one at least!! Am planning more this time as have plenty of friend dying to see them after hearing me bang on about them!!

I really hope that they play glasto - I'm sure they will. If it doesn't get cancelled cos of swine flu - I wouldn't care I'm a veggie I do pigs no harm.

got all my gig hopes on festivals this year glasto and leeds - good times!!!

oh yes, i havnt been to many gigs so far this year....theres been nothing to tempt me really. just courteeners both nights in liverpool, thats been about it.
glasto, leeds and benicassim coming up tho.
morrissey and oasis aswell.

would glasto ever be cancelled because of swine flu?! or is it just paper talk?

Officially they are saying they are monitoring the situation so as long as it doesn't get worse I think we should be fine. This will by first and possibly last time so it better not get cancelled!!

All I need now is the nod from liam my fav band are playing and I'll be happy!
