Aaaah, cheers bud, that really does say alot about me and my limited music taste. This 'unkle' must be a rather 'O.K.' band to be mentioned by Mr Fray himself. I certainly hope these songs exceed expectations, and my expectations are big. You've never heard of UNKLE?? They've been around over 10 years. They've done work with Ian Brown & Mani, Massive Attack, Kool G. Rap, Thom Yorke, RIchard Ashcroft. They do alot of quality remixes.

Gmex would be interesting as its a sh*t venue for bands as the acoustics really aren't great due to the shape of the place + glass, would prefer MEN arena or maybe Old Trafford All pretty big too would be great to see them sell out the MEN (never know?) guess it doesn't matter though I'll go wherever they play
I just wish some clips of the new stuff would appear on myspace or whatever, maybe release a free track like kasabian did recently with vlad the impaler, all this talk of the new songs and the immenseness (yes I think I invented a word) of Sycophant etc have me eagerly anticipating something
Tokyo crows might be a heavy electronica song haha can't wait!

wel have to wait and see, venues like gmex and men arena are big places....after all, theyl only have 2 albums. there isnt much point going mad straight away and playing arenas. they still have a long time left in them. id say, dont play in manchester for ages. announce an album tour with no manchester, then later on once the album has had chance to sell/circulate....then announce a big date like gmex.
gmex holds 17,000....MEN holds around 21,000. 7,000 people went to the apollo dates over 2 nights, they'd have to more than double that... big places, is it honestly do-able?
in my opinion, the 2nd album tour should be a big 70's style tour of loads of towns playing town halls/guild halls etc... no universities.

Yeah they won't do MEN come to think of it friggin massive i was speculating haha
I reckon the academy again plus the ritz possibly, can't see them not doing a manchester gig for the new album, not many bands can sell out two nights and the apollo they will defo do manchester especially after the two nights at liverpool

in my opinion, the 2nd album tour should be a big 70's style tour of loads of towns playing town halls/guild halls etc... no universities. That's what I reckon they should do as well, sort of like Mozzer's Ringleader UK Tour or the last big Ian Brown tour, that'd be proper good I reckon. In my eyes they should limit Manchester gigs, which they sort of are doing to be fair, stick it to one offs

Yeah I see what you mean but do you really think that when promoting the new album they won't play to the "majority" of the people who will buy the album?
Then again I guess everyone in Manchester will buy it anyway so they might promote it everywhere else

Yeah, it values it a bit more if you limit your hometown gigs in my humble opinion

can't see aything wrong with more than 1 manc date, have to many fans to fit into 1 night surely? They but everything into every performance so hey, why not.
