I hate to be a miserable c**t but I'm in serious fucking debt so if I loose my job then I'll lose my balls, you don't know how desperate I am to go but if I get sacked then my life is truly fucked. Though I must admit, most bollock mad fans would risk their jobs, but it is the last thing I want to lose

I do understand you mate but what's the harm in being rough at work once in a while - if I could I would have gone on the Saturday as I could have bought tickets (not from ebay!) but times are still hard for me and my gf stood her ground - lost my balls on that one

Hmm, Ant, f*ck work off! Get someone to cover for you? Get a doctors note? Sneak into the building and cut the electric/heating off? Seriously, you really should go! x

I'd much rather lose a part time job at 18/19, than lose the respect of my forum Buddy's!!!
It shouldn't really be open to negotiation, surely to god!!

I was just wondering, where do you actually work? A Friday night seems a rather strange time to work! :S

Much to my dismay I work in a sainsburys cafe, 4-9pm. I've pulled that many sickies in the 12 months I've been there for football and stuff that if I'm off again I will be fucked, on my last warning. Like I said, most sensible fans would f*ck off work for the gig but work is the last thing that I would lose at this present time. Put it like this, the person who changed their mind will be having some serious shit coming to them.

Aye, suppose sooner or later there comes a point where our responsibilities, our job, our girlfriend, etc etc stand in the way of music....though I'm determined not to reach that point myself sometimes you can't help it. It comes to us all I suppose. At least you'll be able to put the money you make from the ticket to a £200 jumper Just don't go hitting any homeless men in anger at not going to the gig

surely you can think of an excuse to get the night off
unless you've already said yes to your boss obviously
just do a stephen ireland and tempt the fate of your nan or somethin (harsh maybe but the gig will be worth it)

Fergal, that was possibly the maddest attempt to piss me off that I have ever seen But as you say, as big a love in my life music is, work has to take priority unfortunately
