f*ck.
Just got a phone call from work saying that I have to go in tommorow because some selfish bitch won't swap. I've never looked forward to something so much in all my life and some c@nt has to f*ck it up. My ticket is going on the wanted ticket part now. Sorry about short notice.

I would, but a I've just told my mate who sugested the same thing, I've been ill to many time over the past year and I'll more than likely get sacked, and I cannot afford to loose my job. I've never felt so shitty in all 17 and a half years of my life.

unauthorised absence can only lead to a formal warning, but depends who your employer is. so unless youve had previous warnings before your unlikely to get the sack mate. im on my last warning, and im taking the risk.

if it were me id either 1) risk getting sacked, not get sacked, all is good 2) get sacked, get a new job
but thats me, not a clue whats goin on with you ant, if you need the job then fair enough
there will be plenty other gigs too
just a shame as it was your 1st gig!

Just do it man, go to the gig, work haven't given you enough notice and that so you can easy say you've got stuff on. Bring up the family card as well, don't mention a gig. May be missing out on the first airing of some new tunes . . .

You know how much I'd love to but I really cannot risk pulling a sicky, I won't find another job for a while. I really feel like shit now, it makes my stomach turn thinking about what I'm missing

I know how awesome it's gonna be but I can't take any risks, the worst part is that the ticket looks like it is going to waste, and when I come home from work and see it on my desk it's gonna be horrible.
