You say it like they are gone. Plenty of great tomes ahead, but I kind of get what you mean, all gone a little quiet since the tour, must be tuning up something really BIG.

Nah I don't mean it like that, obviously things are going to go quiet after the tour, its just that was my favourite time, as it was proper exciting and the release of WTYSL felt proper momentous, not that its not exciting now, I wouldn't still be seeing them if it wasn't. And aye, on the note of something "really BIG", I've a very strong feeling that the next album will be better than St Jude, which is quite something to follow

I think it will be huge, when you look back at oasis, Defo Maybe never really made them a public fave, but WTSMG made them huge, let's not go into which is better.
For me St Jude despite having 7/8 belting tunes it never had much of a flow a top album should, more of a scrapbook of what's been done so far if you know what I mean. I think that since they will be much more experienced, the second album will have more creativity to it, and they will know what they have to do to keep up the standards. Just thinking to myself earlier in my room, that we could do with a decent album, not had many for a while. Lets hope there isn't a big wait.

It certainly will be different, not in terms of style, because they have one style, Courteeners style, but in terms of quality and layout we can expect different, but I can't see them letting us down, they've got TOO much drive.

I agree to some extent but Stephen Street's production was absoloutely spot on for some songs. WTYSL, Aftershow and Bide Your Time in particular were proper spot on, and That Kiss was done very very well, so I reckon they should stick on with him. It's just always going to be a bit wierd for the listener when they got into the songs as demos, to hear a version thats done in a multi million pound studio and that.

I hope they dont make another 'that kiss'. That is not to the standard I have come to want from the Courteeners. I know plenty of you love that song and it is in many of you's top 5 Courteeners tunes. I think it paints Liam out to be a tad soft. You can right love songs better than that. He can do much better.

Yeah I agree
Thought that kiss was good when it first came out and considered it in my top 5 but lookin back now its not
It was more the anticipation of a new song I think, that kiss is a good song but its not one of my favourites now
Shows the band have a softer side but they can definately do better
(the strings are ace though)

anyone think the next album should have more tunes like kings of the new road, if it wasn't for me and trying too hard to score - just raw rip the f**k out of it tunes
they need a few more of them on the album

Same here, I have complete faith that the next record is going to be absoloutely class. I've not heard anything to suggest anything other than that either, from the tunes Liam's been writing of late. Bring it on

Dont get me wrong, I have full faith they will deliver. I just want some more upbeat tunes from the lads.
That Kiss wasnt for me, and I just hope that isnt the direction they will take the new album.

It should be the direction they go in because that is what the industry needs, classic f*ck off original rock n roll beasts!
