Isn't Manchester's red half about 300 miles south?
No they won't, there will be a minority who'll act like wankers. To be honest though most City fans are wankers. That said if it was the other way round a minority of Man Yoo fans would do it too. Most of them are wankers as well.

Bit harsh to say most are wankers - it is always the minority - which is why a minuites applause would work.
Just a shame that its the idiots that boo that dont realise a city hero died in the disaster aswell

dont realise a city hero died in the disaster aswell They don't care. It'll most likely be the same people who booed Paul Dickov.

As a City fan, I hope they do respect it. Frank Swift being one reason but mainly because Munich was a terrible disaster be you red or blue. Bit harsh labelling the majority of supporters 'w*nkers' Rick. Like all things a small minority in every group are always out to cause grief to others but City fans are pretty decent in the main.

Just a shame that its the idiots that boo that dont realise a city hero died in the disaster aswell i know a minute's applause would work better, but i think a minute's silence is a lot more appropriate for the anniversary of this tragedy. having said that, a small minority will ruin it, they are bound to. i think the best hope will be that right-minded city fans shut the morons up. either that or the braindead minorty (that EVERY club in the league has) somehow get a collective sense of decency for 5 minutes

I'd be very suprised if they do observe it, but stranger things have happened.
If they don't though it will be utter carnage after the game, that there is no doubt.
Rick.. Manchester 3/4's red pal. Be a bit more original than the usual football 365 / ABU brigade propoganda bollocks eh.

It will be honoured i think like it should. Swift is a city legend and alot of the dickheads don't even know who he is sadly.
I wouldn't say 3/4 of manchester is red tho

Depends whether ur talking manchester or greater manchester, in greater manchester i would say you could be right, but in manchester no way is 3/4 red Also depends what you constiute a fan. I know loads of united "fans" that don't give a toss whether they win or not, and don't even know if their playin half the time. All the city fans i know are what i would call proper fans

I've just got to say for the record as a red that begrudgingly am glad Sven's doing a good job at city for two reasons.
THE f**k**g PRESS ripped him a new arse when he was in charge of England, looking at it now he really wasn't that bad (better than that umbrella shaker McClaren)
He's also made the FA look like the bunch of over payed imagination lacking pompous arse's they are.
Anyway come on United!!!!!!

The way everyone is making City fans out to be bastards before anything has even happened is really starting to piss me off (not a pop at u or anyone on here btw Cal)
The media have decided were all twats, the guardian even printed some story about us singing were all goin to a golden jubily. Which, when asked about, the writer said some guy told him city fans were singing in a pub. No city fan on any forums heard any of this
Im not tryna say were all saints, like with any set of fans there are some twats, but the more everyone decides were gonna be dicks before the game has even started the mroe likely the fans will think "f*ck it, they want a story lets give em a story"
And all the while there is next to no mention of the way united have raped the tradgedy for all its worth, with aig sponsorin the memorial at ot. If they really wanted to show some respect, they would open the stadium on a week night and have a proper memorial service

If they really wanted to show some respect, they would open the stadium on a week night and have a proper memorial service whilst you make some good and relevant points mate, the united fans, MUST for example, are up in fucking arms about the AIG 'memorial' 1. lyrics to united calypso are wrong 2. their logo. i've emailed and phoned AIG's publicity department myself this week to complain about this, as have thousands of other reds. it's a fucking disgrace. having said that, like you say i do feel that the citeh fans are being judged before the act, as it were. i've no doubt a small minority will cause mither, but the negative press will just spur lads who weren't going to say anything to say something and make a small issue bigger than it was likely to be
