And all the while there is next to no mention of the way united have raped the tragedy for all its worth, with aig sponsorin the memorial at ot. If they really wanted to show some respect, they would open the stadium on a week night and have a proper memorial service
Thats Bollocks just because a sponsor has got involved (classless I now) that doesn't take anything away from the tragedy that took place. Not only were united robbed of some great players but also England, Duncan Edwards for example was on the way to be a world class player and more than likely a future England captain.
My mum and dad remember what Manchester was like the weeks after the crash and the WHOLE OF MANCHESTER was in shock not just the red half.
I don't care if AIG are plastered all over Old Trafford it's not about them. Its about the History of my club and I'am sure the familys of those that died will be more than happy with the respect that will be shown(by City fan's also!!)

Don't get me wrong, Im not tryin to subract from the tradgedy, it was terrible, and I will be thinking of the families of those who died, just that United should do more to not commercialise the memorial services
You're right, its not about AIG, thats why they should have some class, or United should tell them where to go

your right mate, but it must be very hard to tell your major sponsor to do one. It's got nothing to do with them and I hate the way that in this day and age of commercial muscle they have to strap there name to everything to do with my club....But thats just they way it is. I wouldn't be surprised if those f**k**g Glazier boys don't roll up in replica shirts from 1958. I hate the way my club is run by one 'yank' family but there no worse than the Russian at Chelski or the Americans at Villa and Liverpool. Its a f**k**g disgrace but thats business!!!! and cityfan for the record I don't think all city fans are wankers I now a few and there good lads they wouldn't think twice about booing or whistling and i now some who address us as 'MUNICH'S' (how original!!!) Every club has there stone island types who have no clue about the value of real football and I now for a fact there are United lads who go to Anfield and make comments about Hillsbourgh.........SAD SAD BASTARDS!!!!!

Yeah, agree with most of what you've said there, unfortunately there are signs of the same things happening at city, with those three thai players coming in, not like they're doin any harm, but cant see any point other than commercially for em bein here, could be the start of things
As for the munich disaster, unfortunately there were signs of chants from 30 odd fans today, its a disgrace, but unfortunately i dont think there is much that can be done to stop it...

Hopefully they do respect it. As a Rangers fan when i heard of the mothrwell captains death I thought "Oh shit", cos he used to play for eltic and we had them three days later. Unfortunately we just cant get rid of these morons> Was this game planned for this date, or do the EPL do their fixtures randomly? Just wondering.

Just wondering. no, it wouldn't have been planned, all fixtures are done by random, however they will have to take certain things into consideration i.e the F.A won't have united and city playing at home on the same day, other factors may include important holidays and events that happen in each city. So if two dates clash then they'll have to 'randomise' it again (Is that a word) until there happy with it ;D

There was never any doubt the minute's silence would be kept, there is only 1 frank swift! Was even better gesture by united by its players keeping silent for 90 minutes.
Now then 5 more days til weekend so the moral highground can be dropped and things can get back to normal. Hillsborough and Foe chants a-plenty!
