Fans of the English elvis, aka Cliff Richard, have been saying that Oasis have ripped off his version of Devil Woman for The Turning. www.youtube.com/watch?v=yosCYE4vwlYDoes sound similar in the verse.

They will never do better than what they have already done, everyone expects them to go one better and they just won't due to how great the 1st two albums were How many bands have 7 consistently special, different, groundbreaking albums? thats a dead good point, but the fact is that while definitely maybe and WTSMG are definitely special albums, none of their albums are that different or groundbreaking. each has its own good tracks but none are really consistenly brilliant aside from the 2 i mentioned.

People should cut them slack. How many bands have achieved four great albums? (DM, MTSMG, Masterplan and Dig Out Your Soul) and a LOT of other great songs (i.e. a lot of the b sides that werent on the Masterplan and theres usually 4 or 5 great tracks per other album, even SOTSOG) I can't think of many bands who've had that many great songs. And are that consistantly great live, yeah Liams voice may not be what it used to be, but who gives one really?

To be honest I couldn't see many other bands coming out with an album that was as good as Heathen Chemistry.

i think the abuse they get is because their one of those bands that people put on a pedastal. no1 can say in good conscience that theyre a bad band. i dont really like oasis but i could probably pick out 10 tracks i really really like.

dont see why they shouldnt keep playing live, they have a huge fanbase after all, just stop clogging up the airwaves with shit like shock of the lightning

come on noel hang that guitar up. Nah man, every tune Noel wrote on Dig Out Your Soul (other than shock of the lightening) is class. Gem and Andy Bell should perhaps hang up the pens but other than that, nah

Well, after this album they are all going their seperate ways anyways if I remember correctly. Not saying that is the end of Oasis. Its not. They want to go off and do their own things. I think Noel thinks it will make it very interesting to see how they all come back together after this.
Alan McGee says this album is as good as The Beatles, Revolver. The Beatles comparison is hardly a suprise. I already stated I think that one of their songs sounds like Come Together, although that songs is on Abbey Road, but still.

Just downloaded and listened to the album, as I do with anything I'm unsure about. I deleted straight away after listening, very very average. I thought soldier on by liam was the best song, but it wasn't amazing, just quite good. I also liked the nature of reality, didn't Andy Bell write that one??? It was again alright, good beat to it but a little repetative. Can't say that Noel has written any all time classics, nothing special about the album, I won't be buying it.
