October Tour Flyer

With the tour fast approaching and after a reminder from fastfuse I will have to start up this work again.

I've been getting caught up with a load of things so the tour has really began to catch up with me now!

I have an initial idea which I think needs a lot more development before the production as now the tour has changed

Does the extra dates mean it's a Sept/Oct tour now?

Has anyone seen a decent revised 'Tour Image' without the 'Sold Out' everywhere?

Just a bit of a blockage but I'll get there

if i'm honest the first flyer I've seen for it was it this weeks nme and it has all the sold outs on everything


I didn't buy it but wasn't the design just the album cover?

Yeah but it'll look better as an original ad for the flyer I've got in mind - don't want to be wasting time re-creating it

I had to go to work yesterday but I spent the evening re-creating it

It has taken a while to find the right fonts but I'm happy I did find them because I think it look near enough the same.

I want the flyer to be double-sided, the first side will be the tour dates.

If there is anything you don't like or doesn't look right on the flyer please let me know



The other side will be 'the forum side' which I haven't finished yet but this will have things like the URL, info on the forum and maybe quotes from Liam Fray about S&C and could even have member quotes??

With only 15 days until the preston gig I best get this moving pretty quick. I'll be posting a thread on finding people to hand them out very soon

I finished the first draft and hopefully last of the reverse side of the flyer (forum side).

It includes a new trial logo for the release of last kiss, a brief history and info about S&C, a few of our banners and Liam Fray's recent comment about the forum (not about the jumper ;D ) and a box at the bottom for the appropriate venue.

Sorry I forgot that you all don't fully know about S&C's Flyers.

What I did with the festival flyers was to post them in separate threads in Snorting>Artwork>Flyers and put up links of the JPEGs and PDFs, so anyone can download them and hand-out if they wish.

I will do the same with this one but the members who have signed-up for the tour hand-out will be sent the flyers through the post

I'll be adding the date & venue in the box at the bottom of the 'forum side' of the flyer, just think this will look better that writing it, so every flyer hand-out will be specific to that date/venue, just a bit more attention to detail ;D

Who knows, one day someone will be looking for the Norwich flyer to complete their set of tour flyers

Anyway, hopefully I'll be getting a load for the first few gigs printed this week.
I was thinking of 100 flyers for each date, 50 before & 50 after - What do you lot reckon?

Yeah I'll keep it to 100 per date.

I've got the Preston Flyer printed - just got to trim them now, unfortunately the printer couldn't go to the edge so it'll be slightly smaller than A6 - Still looks good though ;D


Hand-out

It only seems people are willing (or attending) to do a few different dates at the moment, so if S&C is going to get some more promotion and get all the dates covered I'm going to have to push this some more!

So I'll see if I can mass email every member as well as another mass PM urging for support

I'll look into releasing some kind of bulletin on myspace also I'll post in my blog on myspace - I could post a message on The Courteeners profile too.

Maybe I'll finally have use for the S&C facebook!

If anyone thinks of anything else please let me know

Hooray! I got a load of promotion done for this on myspace today - just noticed a few errors but what the hell

Posted a couple of bulletin's, in myspace blog, a msg on the lads myspace profile and a msg to myself

They look like this, you've probably seen the narrow one, obviously they were bigger but I don't want them to take ages to load up here:




Can't figure out facebook so I think fastfuse will be helping out on that one.

Last.fm didn't allow the links etc - so my journal post on there looks shit!

Erm... that's about it, oh no Cal has said he'll have some flyers to give out on stage at the Preston gig and he'll wear a forum t-shirt as well
That's if I can make one to give it justice, so no promises
