What do I get?

As a little thank you for the members handing them out I'll be sending a 2 badge set which I have been designing today, they are themed around the tour and forum.

No pics just yet as I've got a few finishing touches to do.

When I send out your flyers I will include the set

I have just noticed that the AD have now been published in The Courteeners messages on myspace ;D

Hopefully that'll bring some much needed help for the gigs in the Ireland's.

I think I'll get every date printed just in case we get the people to hand out (not costing me ought )

All this extra promotion must draw in some more help to hand out the flyers as I'm starting to get a bit worried that only 5 dates are covered

The AD is the advert for S&C's request for people to hand out our flyers.

When I did the 'festival frenzy' I near enough posted every flyer image within The Courteeners comments on their myspace.
Most of them were approved, they didn't accept the one with Liam Fray as Lord Kitchener
Maybe I was playing on the war a bit but it was done in good taste!

Sorry I drifted a bit there...
The AD will hopefully reach more fans to help with the flyers - desperate to cover the Dublin and Belfast gigs!

I'll get the flyer ready to post on the forum today - I'll be leaving the venue/date box blank so it can be used at any gig if you want to print it out yourselves

The last thing I'll do is to get each individual flyer 'ready-to-print' and that'll be me up to date after doing those things from the last 2 posts.

Not much eh!

So after a couple of hand-outs at Preston & Newcastle we are fast approaching the next lot of hand-outs! Shame none of the Irish dates could be filled.

Both Manchester dates & Liverpool are covered but I've still not had them printed yet!!

I'll off to get printing prices very shortly (my free source of printing had now stopped ) so hopefully all will be good and they'll be sent out tomorrow.

I'll let you know once I've sorted it

Right, I'll stop myself from stressing and swearing before I let you know the bad news

I went to the best place to print the flyers in town and was quoted £35 for the 4 different flyers - with 35 of each - I thought it was a little expensive but let them go ahead...

...now I've just had a phone call to say they made a mistake and they quote was for 1 flyer Why did I bother explaining what I required in the shop, oh sorry my first rant!

"how much for all 4 then?"

"hold on a minute please sir"

70 f**k**g quid!!!

You can get 500 copies for about 80 quid from internet companies, so I wasn't going to pay that and would rather do it myself - they not look as professional and it'll probably kill my printer but no way would I pay £70 (that money could produce a few forum CD's or go towards products for the fanzine)

So I'll be very busy making the flyers ready to be sent tomorrow.

At last! Finished both Manchester dates and Liverpool, to speed up the process I printed them out borderless so there a little bit bigger than the laser ones and not as professional - oh well here's to diy!

Although the text is a lot clearer on these, the colours are a lot more pale.

150 pages later!
This absolutely killed my ink carts and had to go and fetch a new one half way through! Easily better than 70 quid though

Anyway I'm back at work tomorrow so the misses will be post them tomorrow - I just hope they get to you all in time - I think I'll send the mcr ones special delivery, more expensive but I know for sure 'the kinneys' & matt will receive them on Thursday!

One lesson learned today - never go into town for printing!!

Ferg & Dec - you'll get yours special delivery tomorrow, I had to make sure you'd get them in time! So they will need to be signed-for, hope someone will be in for them

Matt - you'll be getting special delivery too - so same situation

Sorry everything it so late but the printing was just unfortunate!

Cal & Sam - sent yours normal 1st class so you'll get them before the Liverpool gig.
