Just bought tickets for there Decemeber gig at Academy 2. Also seeing them at Academy 3 a week today. One of the best bands I've heard in years. I actually prefer them to the Courteeners now.

Bought the album having not heard much by them previously. Still a little undecided about it after a few listens, I get the impression they might be a band I would get more into live than on record. Really like Geraldine though.

I think they're collosal. Superb band. The album is one of the, if not the, best I've heard this year. Very, very, very good. Saw them last night at Zavvi, mint, but only a 4 song set cos of tiem restrictions...shameful. Seeing them next week at Academy 3 and at 53 Degrees near Christmas, should be good. James and Rab Allen are massively talented, James a great vocalist and poet, and Rab a great guitarist. Nice people as well, all very grateful and all of that

Well, their debut went in at number 2, just behind Metalica. Fair play. It is best to have this type of music dominating the charts, but I really dont get what the fuss is about. Cant believe so many people are into them.

Quality band, nice to see something good come out of Scotland for a change, lets hope they can keep it up and don't f*ck up like Fratellis did with a shit second album.

I cant see them sticking around long, but then again I said that when I first heard The Fratellis. I dont get Glasvegas. I dont get why they are everyone's fav 'new thing'? I dont really like any of their stuff apart from one or two tracks. Its behond me why they are doing so well. Much hype over nothing for me.

Nah I can see them sticking around a lot longer than mediocre "fun" bands like The Fratellis. Glasvegas are a band with substance, and are innovate, and have great proper songs, and are a great live band and aren't arseholes. For me, I'd say their album is probably the record of the year
