Arrived at the Doncaster Leopard two hours before they were due to play last night, and alas they were not there. Hugely disappointing !
There was just an a4 sheet of paper behind the bar stating that the band were sorry and had to go into the studio due to production faults on their new album.
Still, these things happen. Great band none the less.

They did make an annoucement days before the gig that it had been rearranged so they could continue post-production of the album! How does that make them arseholes?

I had been checking their myspace and website regularly before the gig and they did not make any announcements, though i do still believe that the band are great people and i am looking forward to seeing them play again soon.

I got a MySpace bulletin from Glasvegas before the shows saying that the Donny show and Stockton show had been cancelled and will be rescheduled for July!

I have just checked back on myspace and they did send a bulletin on the morning of the Doncaster gig at 08-34 ! My apologies Irlam, put your cap on , and calm down with a spaghetti western !

Went to see Glasvegas last night at The Ruby Lounge! They were supposed to be on at 9 but didn't get on stage until 9:30 with Curfew being at 10pm! A very short set but it was simply amazing to behold! Couple of fights in the rowdy crowd! Superb gig anyway!

i went to ruby lounge n all, top quality evening.
was talkin to james allen, hel emerge as one of the better song writers of the moment.
sound guy aswell!

Personally I not into them at all - I have listened to all the demos and that but they just don't create that spark inside of me (if you know what I mean?). It does seem that they are NME's new bitches (which could be their downfall?) |

I do not see what the big deal is with Glasvegas. I just dont get it. The lead singers voice does my head in, and I dont think they have the tunes either. People seem to be hailing their lyrics, but I think in all honesty they are quite poor. Daddy's gone really annoys me.
I cant believe there is a count down clock on the nme website counting down the minutes till the release of the album. They are going to be everywhere for the next couple of weeks unfortunately.
