theres 3 for me.
The Ruby Lounge one they did as a suprise, because i was proper proper twisted, had a chat with the lads before had, fell off my mates shoulders on stage i think, met some cool people (people from here, some dealers, some gangsters, the band) liam did some songs acoustically before the full band came on and that were nice.
walking to the car to go home and we give this tramp loads of money and fags. HE WASNT EVEN A TRAMP.
got to the car and a van full of lads drove into a pub, piling out the back with bats and that, police came. over.
ACe night.

number 2. the first time i saw them with Towers Of London, cant really rember much but it was great, and i was well impressed, went on there myspace and that and loved what i was hearing. first time you see a band is always mega.
number 3. In the Chester SU bar, dead small, not loads of people there but still a mega gig, liam bought us a pint and Conan got us in early if i remember correctly, only to be told to leave till the show started by knobhead security.
Brilliant gig, had a song dedicated to us all, there was an edge to everything as the band wernt happy with the sound and the security thought they were all wreslters. jumped on stage for Acrylic at the end and got grabbed by the neck n chucked out the fire doors. Gutted. The band stopped the song half way and came and got me back in. best gig moment ever.
a few of the bouncers got smacked. mint.
got stuff signed and that.
came back home and got proper razzed. ace

Got to be the September 07 outdoor do at Cellar Bar in Blackburn. An overwhelming sense of excitement because it was the first time anyone decent and exciting had came to Blackburn. As much as this sounds like a load of tosh, you could actually feel the buzz and that long before they took to the stage. Anyone with a music taste in Blackburn were there and all, plus transport was easy and cheap being my hometown They were on some mint form that night and all, Mr Fray was suitably off his head and some of the mid song banter is mad like. Quality set list and mint atmosphere all evening, shame about the bouncer situation however, got chucked out mid way into the set but cos of the size of the venue and it being outdoor it was easy to get back in round the back. And aye Cal, Ruby Lounge were class

Memorable ones for me include:
The Ruby Lounge that Cal mentions. Amazing night.
Academy 3 - First time I saw them live and they blew me away.
Academy 2 - One of the finest spectacles i've witnessed. I just got lost in the music. Was rather surreal.

1. cellar bar, blackburn - just cus it was in blackburn!
2. ruby lounge - what a night

Loving all the stories on this thread!
Well unlike all you super groupies I have seen the courteeners 3 times and I reckon all 3 will be in top gigs....
First time in local indie club arena in boro....met liam after not daring to speak to him when he was at the bar me and my friend (after a few more drinks) decided to know on the dressing room door, Conan came to window and then this hand reached for the security code and it was liam - we then got our pics took asked loads of questions and generally got all excited! Gig was mint and that was me hooked.
Second time was the most bizarre gig - i.e. it was on the set of hollyoaks - as we arrived the band were walking out for a fag and recognised me from boro gig! And I love hollyoaks so was a surreal day.
The Third and the best for me was Manchester Academy 1 gig....after nearly crying at work cos realised I was in Germany for the Newcastle gig I thought F**k it I'll go to Manc...had to find mysel a partner in crime (sometimes when you're a girl and it's a dirty gig it's not that easy) so I recruited my housemate, who bless her had never been to a gig before...we had the best nite eva...rite down the front..she loved it! Had a class nite out in Manc after as well - I have never met such a nice bunch of ppl at a gig - everyone was totally lovely in the pub before and at the gig and in the clubs after....I was still buzzing on the Monday back at work...hence October Newc and Manc for me! but not sure anything will top that last experience!

I missed out on Academy 3, I were gutted, twas on my birthday and everything, rang up the venue a few days before and they said there would easily be tickets left to pay on the door of the night, so that was all well and good. On the morning of the gig, rang up, "Sorry, no tickets left". Knew I should have booked and not been idle

haha Chezza I didnt really get to any of the earlier gigs either because I didnt really hear of them till later and then some of the problem was that I wasnt 18 and I didnt drive at the time so I couldnt really get back from Manc
Manchester academy 1 was the best for me cause I was on the front and my mate left the crowd cause she was getting crushed and shes a weakling so I ended up meeting a load of people there who knew the band from school and stuff and we were right in front of Conan so I started everyone chanting Conan and he did a chest thump at me then chucked me his towel at the end of the set I was going pretty crazy that night and singing along so at the end Campbell came down and lent down to me saying cheers and handing me both his sticks! Then Liam jumped down to give the guy next to me a set list and gave me a kiss on the cheek haha then to make the night I went to stand backstage to thank the lads and after a bit of a wait Conan and Campbell came out for a f*g and were chatting for ages signing the sticks and towel and Campbell gave me a kiss and all and ever since the lads have known me by name .....

You have all seen them so many times! Jealous! Only seen them once (in Amsterdam), so that will be my best gig then haha They were amazing, brought loads of friends with them to Amsterdam. Which was really awesome. I was singing along to every word. People were looking at me cause a lot of people didn't know them, and I was standing there with all those guys from Manchester jumping and singing and smiling. Mint. Had a drink with some of their friends, and chatted a bit with Liam. But he was all caught up with his friends, who literally jumped on him when he came to the bar. Would love to go to the gig in Manchester in October, but that will be way too expensive.

how times have changed.....me and ferg were at that hmv wtysl jobbie in february, there was a queue of around 250 people. conan and cupello walked past the whole of the queue and no-one recognised em! what a let down! we sung a cupello based chant, we got a smile off him, but the shocking thing was, that all these 'fans' didnt even know who they were! madness!

haha I was at that but I got there really late so they had prob gone past by then cause I would have recognised them When I saw the Courteeners play Zavvi Liverpool Conan and Campbell were having a fag outside and I got a wave and I dont think anyone else knew them but 2bh there are a lot of people who listen to music and know nothing about the band

Oh yeah you always end up thing 'what the f**k' did I say that for......examples include when first meeting mr fray - saying 'oh my god you're the lead singer aren't you'...could I BE anymore groupie! Also when meeting them for the second introducing my friend - when they don't even know my name! Nice....
Oh and none courteeners ones inclu...telling Josh from hollyoaks that the day I went to the hollyoaks set was the best day of my life....in pacha last week....obviously I wasn't under the influence of anything at the time...
