I'd be thinking a late summer (at best) or early fall release. Maybe some small shows before it's out and then a big tour in the winter. Something like that anyway.

I'm still undecided about Chester, get my student money on the 16th so if there are tickets I might grab one. Bit reluctant as we have no dates on the album or at least a single yet, even if its nearly done it could still be months before we hear any of it. But at the end of the day it is The Courteeners so there's a 90% chance I'll be there! |

But then again last time he told me something Liam denounced it on Twitter so I don't want to start an inter band argument or anything. So if it is, I'm hopeful we'll have something by June. My ticket arrived in the post yesterday anyway, roll on Chester Rocks and album #3. |

Well I expected it to be finished around this sort of time, I must say though I am still in complete shock as to how little its been spoke about. An announcement will hopefully be on the way.
I'd be satisfied if it was out in June and we got some news and maybe a first single over the next few weeks.

I'd rather hear nothing about it than have constant tweets and posts about this drum sound, this guitar bit, lyrics, song titles etc. There's too much of that in this day and age. With 'Falcon' we had a very strong awareness of most of the songs months before it hit the shops, it'll be quite nice for a change to get a full piece of work that we know very little about prior to listen. I think the less you say, the more excitement you build up as well, enigma is nice. Then again, I'd like to take it upon myself to exclusively reveal the artwork for the next record, it's a bit different but well, I've heard that's the way the new LP's going  |

Oh don't get me wrong, I love that the news as and when we get it will be that bit more precious as it will be a surprise. Can't wait to hear bits and pieces about songs, gigs and singles when we get into it this summer!
I just cant believe that when asked like the several times he has over the last month or two on Twitter, that Liam can't say it'll be finished late March or early April so expect in June/July. I'm just far too impatient but its been a long time coming this record, considering its a good 18 months since they finished properly 'touring'.

sean, tommy and anyone else who reads snorting', but maybe don't post, say hello at chester, don't be shy, we are all there for one thing..... the band, were not hooligans on E, would be great to say hello. And just because my newspaper pages are 'the times', this does not mean, i won't say hello to you, don't leave me stood there like a spare prick at a wedding!, and don't forget, just because i jumped on the bus at an early stop, that does not mean the bus will stop picking people up.. rock on chester, rock on the courteeners x

By my calculations the 3rd Courteeners record will be finished by the weekend. My timeline for a July release is a real possibility now. How soon do you think we'll hear new music? Free download or new single?
Having spent 6 months demoing and then another 6 months on and off in the studio and reading some of LF's tweets (talk of strings, violas and lots of guitars etc), I'm really excited as it sounds like the kitchen sink has gone at this. Could be their biggest and best yet!
Let the chaos commence.....

It's taken a while as we really pushed ourselves but we've made a bigger and better record this time round and can't wait for people to hear it.
