This was genuinely one of the best times I've seen them. They were sounding supereme, opening with 'The Opener', first time I've experienced that. Really good crowd, really good little venue, if this sets the tone for the rest of the tour then we're in for a treat. Can't remember the set list - all the usual suspects though - they were on for about an hour and a half and were completely on fire the whole time. There was a Madness gig in Leicester that day so our hotel was heaving with Madness fans, late 40's, bald, 12 eyelet Docs and dyed jeans etc. Got over there in good time despite the weather, enjoyed a few quality pubs. You know you're in a classy establishment when you're resting your pints on a coffin. Well up for Leeds and Manchester! Read this if you can: true-to-you.net/morrissey_news_101204_01FERGAL

Can only echo what others have said really. Only bad thing about it is the fact that I was on the barrier, never again. Can't properly enjoy a gig while struggling for breath but they were top. Waited for an hour or so after and met Campbell, Liam and Miles, so a top top night. On that note too, I thought Miles Kane's set was absolutely terrific and I reckon his album will be class, he's definitely worth getting down early for.

Don't know if you meant The Courteeners or Miles but I'll put Miles' up anyway as I managed to get one.
Miles Kane: Invisible Re-arrange Fantasy Kingcrawler Quicksand Telepathy Counting Inhaler Come Closer
I'm trying to think what The Courteeners played. From what I remember they played, The Opener, Scratch Your Name Upon My Lips, Take Over The World, You Overdid It Doll, Cross My Heart & Hope To Fly, Lullaby, The Rest Of The World Has Gone Home, Sycophant and Will It Be This Way Forever? off of Falcon, and Cavorting, Bide Your Time, What Took You So Long?, Please Don't, No You Didn't, No You Don't, How Come, Not Nineteen Forever and Fallowfiled Hillbilly. I'm pretty sure in some order that was the whole setlist but I could be wrong. Very strong setlist in my opinion although I would love to hear the odd b-side or song from Second Folio.

280981- setlist is correct as far as i remember.
we got in there for 7.30, and just caught the end of miles kane. i was expecting him to be on about 8 & the courteeners on about 9. the lads were on at 8, and was all over by 9.30 ish. great little venue, but i seemed to enjoy this gig the least of all the times ive seen them. cant put my finger on it really. Liam did say thsi was one of the best crowds theyd ever played to, which i found hard to believe, he doesnt strike me as one to cliche or bullshit. some dicks in the crowd singing manchester lalala, & other football chants, they should of got laid before they went to the gig! roll on MEN Friday.

What time were doors? Surely not 7? Anyone know what time they'll be on in London? That seems early.

Doors were 6.30, Miles was on at 7. It was because they had a Ellie Goulding DJ set on after, although I much prefer earlier gigs. Yeah I noticed all the idiots singing them chants, always bound to get some dicks at the gigs now though.
