Happy to have the acrylic lyric cleared up, aways unsure I was, wouldn't dare sing it wrong :/ i've never understood the confusion. is there a different recording of the single where Fray could be misunderstood? seems perfectly clear to me

dont like the answer to the forum gig! sure we would love the band to play in our livin rooms but that was wasnt the point raised it was a small gig, surely a 1000 capacity is a small gig? sound would be good like could be possible and anyone who loves them and doesnt come on here would surely find out about it? wouldnt they? easily sell out! to follow on from that when asked about how much it would cost to book them "a lot" wonder how much is a lot then? cant be more than 5 grand? and i wonder how much it would cost to hire a venue? want this to happen other than that some super answers really like the bit about on the piss in ibiza with lee chapman and leslie ash lol

i was thinkign more of an acoustic set from Liam, say at the ruby lounge. then he can invite who he wants (ie the lad whod been to 19 gigs but never heard of the forum) and us lot to, think there capacity is about 500.
REF Acrylic. i put that question because there were rumours the song was about a rival band in manchester that the lads didnt get on with, but I worded the question differently to the way in which it was origianlly posted on teh Q & A thread.

Like the ruby lounge idea, will never happen though, holds like 350 people I think but if he does do a night at Ruby Lounge any time soon then we can just go anyway if we want, don't need to be especially for us, just turn up.

Why does being a member of a forum place you above any other fans? What difference does it make whether you log onto the internet and talk about the band every night or not? If you want to go to the gigs, then be there on ticket websites at 9am to buy your tickets. Courteeners gigs are special enough for me, I wouldn't want to restrict that to anyone

Nicely put, a Courteeners gig is a Courteeners gig, don't matter who is there around you, so long as you enjoy it yourself and make something of it, and I will do myself on next tour I'm sure.

to be fair we dont talk about the courteeenrs that much nowadays, but irrelevant yeah. it doesnt make us better no but its a nice thank you isnt it. liam may dimiss it off hand but arctic monkeys have arranged one for their mailing list i believe and muse regularly do forum gigs as a warm up before the real tour.
if it meant others missing out, then i really wouldnt like the idea, but if it was running alongside a full tour then it wouldnt be an issue.

A gig where people on the mailing list get priority is different to a gig for people on a forum, mailing lists are sort of there for that kind of thing and it helps overcome touting - what does anyone get from a forum gig?

No gain suppose, anyone who goes to a forum gig can go to a normal Courteeners gig, probably get a better atmosphere from your normal gigs aswell. Trying to think of a reason for there to be one, because when you frist read it, it sounds like a cool idea on the cover, but really there aren't any perks for anyone.

Yeah I got an email from the Arctic Monkeys today about a gig where I had to apply for tickets and seemed like a mailing list only event. Unfortuantely you had to be 16 so I couldn't apply

I like the idea of pre-sale links I've used them with Arctic monkeys, Muse and The Cribs just means if you've bothered to sign up and you love the band you get a foot in the door!
Gutted can't go to AM gig on my course - but why Brixton!!! Rubbish get it up north!!
