As you may know or posted, jthemod started the Q & A with The Courteeners thread a while back and he went on to say, "I had an idea of a Q & A session with the band. I have had this Ok'd by Darren, and hopefully the band will cooperate & be a nice touch for us fans".
I asked j if he could continue to run the "Q & A".
He sorted out the final questions he wanted the band to answer from a range of mickey-takers to just plain weird!
I then added a few of my own and sent a 'polite but on the verge of begging' email...
Well I never.... I received a reply
So here are the final questions answered, in what I think is the first proper interaction within the forum, not directly but it's the next best thing - Thank you very much lads
Glastonbury 2008 was monumental. John Peel Stage, Saturday afternoon, hadn't been to bed. Perfect.

If you were there, you know how special it was.
Saying that, pretty much everything we've ever done has been regarded, by us, as a success. (apart from the videos - f**k me. The next ones will be killer)

I would love to play in your living rooms, but the idea of strictly members doesn't exactly work does it. I know a lad who is 19, he has been to watch us over 20 times and he didn't know about the forum. So where is the reward for him? He has given up holiday days at work, spent the majority of his wages most months and he wouldn't be allowed to go. Plus, the sound would be sh*t.
every night something goes wrong and it's not for me to say what, when, where - but Japan was pretty eventful. in fact, most of our tour nights end in disaster - you brush yourself down and get on with the next day.
Going on the p*ss with Lee Chapman and Leslie Ash in Ibiza was pretty funny. And random. He was slaughtered.
I wouldn't say anything, I'd just look at him until he started crying.
Morrissey was quite good.
Its a Buffalo - last gig on 5th Sept. Get down there.
Relatively late? you lot spend far too much time reading Wikifuckingpedia and all that sh*t. I was dancing like Elvis in the womb. Couldn't keep this kid still. Pick a guitar that you love looking at, because you're gonna be using it every day. Every day. I got my Riviera on my 17th birthday. It's done every gig I have.
It used to be on the bus or on my phone at work, but now I do it on the bus, or on my phone at work.
I would've thought you could've read between the lines. The lines being;
"you're just like plasticine,
being moulded into a Libertine dream,
I feel so sorry for you"
The irony was lost on the press, because for the most part they make their minds up very quickly and dismissive. do they not know there is no music without words.
It's about pretenders. people wanting to be something their not. If you're meant to be a plumber, go and be the best fucking plumber in the world. Make sure you do the best job you can at all times. Follow this guide to life and you will be alright. I am giving life coaching sessions at the following venues.........
For the record, it's
"dream"
not "dreamer". x
A lot.
I've been on there. Most of the people are tops man, it's very warming to have the level of support that we have. I was on a minibus to watch the Music (Kings of Leon) support when I was 15/16. One of the best trips ever. Roses all the way down to Blackpool, Danny Ads birthday. Day on the pier, chippy tea, get boozed up beofre hand, watching bands with your best friends. This is life.
It's so important to make a day of it, the memories stay with you forever man. Amsterdam, I wen to see the strokes in 2005, and the cribs in 2007, amazing man.
Get a forum away day sorted out!
Again, thank you for your continued support on behalf of me and the boys. We're hard at work in Brussels.
Look both ways,
Sunny days,

Never pays

If you could have wrote one song what would it be?

What’s your favourite alcoholic beverage?

Would you consider doing a secret small gig strictly for Snorting & Cavorting forum members?
I would love to play in your living rooms, but the idea of strictly members doesn't exactly work does it. What’s the funniest thing that’s happened to the band when you’ve been on tour/on the p*ss?
every night something goes wrong and it's not for me to say what, when, where - but Japan was pretty eventful. in fact, most of our tour nights end in disaster - you brush yourself down and get on with the next day.
Going on the p*ss with Lee Chapman and Leslie Ash in Ibiza was pretty funny. And random. He was slaughtered.
What would you say to the guy at vinyl exchange Manchester who thought it was appropriate to sell a vinyl given away at one of your gigs, for £80?
I wouldn't say anything, I'd just look at him until he started crying.
Best band you have supported? & Best band that have supported you?
Morrissey was quite good.
Its a Buffalo - last gig on 5th Sept. Get down there.
For Liam. As you started relatively late in the music world, What advice would you give to youngsters in regards to guitars and equipment to use?

Pick a guitar that you love looking at, because you're gonna be using it every day. Every day. I got my Riviera on my 17th birthday. It's done every gig I have.
Where would you tend to do most of your writing?
It used to be on the bus or on my phone at work, but now I do it on the bus, or on my phone at work.
There are lots of rumours about the meaning behind Acrylic; can you clear it up for us once & for all?

Also if you don't mind, I have a few of my own, sorry very forum related:
To follow on from the members question about an S&C gig, how much would it cost to book you for a gig?

If you do get any spare time do any of you go on the forum at all?
