Revived the thread as I am up at this time, looking for a bit of advice..........
I'm thinking of buying a new guitar in the next 2 or 3 months and I ruled it down to two which are the Gretsch G5120 (White) or Epiphone Casino (Cherry).
Pretty much set my heart on the casino after lots of debating with myself, gonna try them both out. Just wondered if people could give me advice on either guitar but mainly the casino as many seem to have had them on here and looks like im gonna go for that one.

to be honest theres not alot of advice to give as both are solid and beautiful guitars. one thing I find is that theyre suited for rhythm and chords rather than lead guitar and soloing.

I'm glad to hear that last part, I am a rhythm player really and any lead I do play I play on the strat that I bought last year so I just wanted a proper semi acoustic guitar to play rhythm.
Gonna go for the Casino purely because its got a big history behind it, some of the best songwriters and guitarists have used that guitar. Hopefully might help me follow in the footsteps.

Bought myself a ltd ed riviera with bigsby to go with my white tele. More of a hobby guitar, sounds beautiful clean, and quite a jazzy sound. Prefer the tele though.
