Just thought i'd point out saw on nme that it says the band are playing ruby lounge, as part of the nme awards shows. The link doesnt actually link to the article which is annoying. Anyone know anything about it? www.nme.com/news/the-courteeners

One of the best gigs I've been to last time they played Ruby Lounge. Getting tickets for this one could be a ballache.

Got it, eventually; The Courteeners are set to play an intimate Shockwaves NME Awards show at the Manchester Ruby Lounge on February 16.
Liam Fray and co will headline the 375-capacity venue, with tickets set to be sold on a first-come, first-served basis to fans who attend the venue box office. They will be sold this Saturday (January 30) from 10am (GMT).
"Let's face it, it's Manchester so it's going to rain while people are queuing, so wrap up warm," suggested Fray for those looking to bag the best spots before the box office opens. "Take a friend, perhaps one of the opposite sex so you can have a good cuddle if it gets really cold!"
Guess it will be an early morning saturday then!

HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO GET INTO THE RUBY LOUNGE & WILL I NEED ID? The Ruby lounge is a venue for over 18’s & yes, you will need ID if we think you look young & care-free. We will accept passports & University photo IDs. College ID or anything without your photo won’t be accepted here. Of course ID must have your date of birth on it as it’s pretty darn useless otherwise. If in doubt bring some ID along & bask safe in the knowledge that you look youthful & sprightly (your declining years will be with you sooner than you think). rang them too and they said over the phone it was 18+. shows like this aren't going to be around for the lads much longer so this sucks. eurghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
