 Sadly my mate has pulled out of the gig, he works for the F.A. and has loads of events coming up over Christmas, means he can't get to this now! I could get someone else to go with me but that would mean having to buy a train ticket as well and with things the way they are with no work etc, I've decided to sell. I just knew it, I'm not destined to go to this or any other gig (sold moz tickets earlier cos of no money!) this year. SO, that leaves the formal bit: - I only want face value back, which puts the value at £60 for 2 MCR tickets and 2 Aftershow tickets.
- You've got to have Paypal and pay me before I send them.... don't worry I'm trustworthy.
- I will leave this for a couple of days, then I'll list on ebay if not sold by then but I'd rather sell outside of ebay to avoid fees.

Will you ever go and see The Courteeners? They've announced Nottingham and they've played there a few times in the past.....I know there's the money issue and that, but I can't get my head round how you havn't seen them. I was looking forward to having a pint with you at g-mex just to see you in the flesh.......Will you ever venture out and see them? I'm not having a go or anything, I just find it weird.

I agree. Despite theres the money issue surely this once you should just do it. Stick the 1 GMEX and Aftershow ticket on eBay, you've done it with tickets in the past (that wasnt a dig, just to coax you into it) and you should do it again, use the profit to tie you over while moneys tight and just get on down to Manchester a week on Friday! It's a landmark moment for a band you've gave up a lot of time and effort to promote. A lot of us on here are looking forward to meeting you for a pint and that man |

Agree with all. Darren, you really should go mate. You deserve it, the amount of time, money and effort you put into this forum is immense, you should get to see them!
Do as Fergal has said, put the one ticket on ebay and get down there with this lot. Probably wouldn't actually see you myself, but you really do deserve it mate!!

You deserve it mate, you run the bands forum for Gods sake. But I can empathise with you, I had to cancel Liverpoo gig earlier this year because I couldn't afford to have the day off work, and I WOULD have been sacked, some things have to come first and you have your priorities, can't imagine what it's like not having work at all, you tried anyway and I can understand.

He does it for pleasure, I never doubt that, the money he ploughs into this forum is bordering on tedious and quite frankly us and the band owe him alot, but we don't want to start to sound like we are bullying him into coming, he has priorities, that like I said I empathise with, so let him be. If I was a little better off them I'd willingly pay for your train her and back Darren, for the sake of meeting you mate.

There's me thinking this was a thread to sell my tickets at face value?!?! I'm not getting into an argument about this and I understand you can freely have your own views, maybe it's me looking too much into it but I can't believe some of the comments posted. How can it even be thought that I'm running S&C as a business?? If this was a business it would have gone bankrupt after the first 6 months. I never sell anything it's all give-a-way's made from my money. Yeah there was the attempt at selling a t-shirt but if that had seen the light the cost would have been at cost price. I could stick adverts all over (not pay to have them removed) or have endless posts about the badges I sell but I don't, I learnt that hiding the fact I made the first badge set didn't help but I was trying to keep my badge business (if you can call it that) away from the forum. As for the tickets, if I was in it for the profit wouldn't I have just stuck them on ebay for stupid money and not offer them at cost price on here?? Also, yeah I could have just said I'm going, screw the mortgage, f*ck the bills, I'm not bothered that both me and the misses are out of work, we don't need a roof over my heads! etc etc et-fucking-cetera  I'm personally gutted I had to make the choice to sell but it had to be done, yeas it's going to be a massive downer when next Friday rolls up and I'm still at home but these things happen. I was also looking forward to meeting up with people off here, would have be great to finally meet and have a chat properly. I'm also pretty embarrassed that I've still not seen them live and I'm the one who started the forum, it may look strange or weird but that's me. I went nearly 10 years before I ever saw Oasis live and I was obsessed with them in the 90's, I love Primal Scream but never seen them live, I love The Charlatans never seen them, I could go on.... I just think the time will come to see these bands and The Courteeners, in fact i've ordered 2 tickets for Lincoln on my credit card, yeah I may have to sell them again if times are still hard but at least I'm trying. So, does anyone want to buy the tickets then? ;D |
