I'm with Luke (once again). The singles just seem to annoy me, it's good because it's different, she can definitely sing, but thing it is all over-hyped.

The first single isn't a great representative of her, her label just told her to write them a single because there wasn't anything on her album that would do any good.

White Lies - To Lose My Life The Horrors - Primary Colours Enter Shikari - Common Dreads Peter Dohert - Grace/Wastelands Arctic Monkeys - Humbug. I wish I could include Muse in this... But I just can't. That upsets me greatly.

I would say all the ususal suspects are in there for me...
Cribs Muse Arctic Monkeys Kasabian Maccabees - was that this year I only just got it!!
It's been a funny year really with either the feast or the famine....not much out I've liked or loads all at once (as is at the moment)...not much new stuff I care for either and a definate lack of new bands playing small clubs....guess it's all down to the credit crunch....

I'd agree with pretty much everything on there, maybe except Grace/Wastelands. Loved Last of the English Roses but didn't really get into the rest.

Been a very average year for albums in my opinion, when "Grace/Wastelands" came out I didn't expect I'd be citing it as one of the best albums of 2009, but going off how average things have been I would put it in my top 5. Kasabian's WRPLA deserves a slot there, as does the new Cribs album massively, my favourite thus far is still "Years of Refusal" by Morrissey, overlooked by many of the younger posters on this forum but a beautiful brilliant album

Shit, forgot Years of Refusal, thought that it was very good, considering that I hadn't heard much Morrissey solo when I heard it, it is a good album.
