Didn't know they played it at start, first for me. Shame on you CB for not even knowing it when you heard it, I'm not a big Oasis fan, and neither is my Grandad and he'd know that. Tut tut tut.

So they play it sort of as a warm up thing, sound check and that.

yeah in between each band thats on as sound checks etc are going on, dj plays some to tunes to try and keep the crowd goin, Rock N Roll star works every time in manc, remember in lpool someone next to me sayin i"s this oasis?" mate replying "Yeah think so"
shocking, especially as they weren't exactly 13 like cb, easily similar age to me

Depends on your age really, cb is only 13 and less likely to have definately maybe or ever been to an oasis gig
Someone similar age to me should know Rock N Roll star if they haven't had their heads buried in the sand over the last 10 years
Its not wrong, its just rare that someone who grew up in the 90s doesn't know oasis?
And of course its hardly their fault if they haven't heard it before, everyone has different taste in music and that but I just thought it was fair shocking, especially in lpool where oasis have a massive fan base

iv just come online for the 1st time in a few days....and this thread disgusts me! how does somebody not know rock n roll star?! its the absolute basics of liking music! surely if you like courteeners and that sort of music, then you'll know of oasis.....no matter how old you are!

well id say its a fuckin great sign that the courteeners aint just borrowin fans from oasis.

i dont think its a case of borrowing fans or owt like that. its a case of knowing your classic tunes. knowing the bands that influenced the band you are listening to/seeing.
