I hope that a new song we haven't heard will be lead single, would work out well. But I've always thought that 'Good Times...' would make a good lead single, so who knows.

Hmm maybe. Would be interesting to hear a properly recorded version of it first mind. I just want something in the next month or two or I might just go completely insane. Been so long since we heard some proper new stuff, but I trust Liam so it should be worth the wait.

I honestly think that Good Times are Calling will be the lead single. At Reading he said this is a new song leading into it and stuff. Plus the fact it wasnt prevented from being shown on the red button? Perhaps just a coincedence. But I'm not arsed to be honest. Something new must be on the cards soon. The album must be recorded if Conans at Cribs gigs and Liams havin a piss up in town. Hopefully have some new stuff known before the gig in December? All be it, its gonna be MEGA!!

glad to hear that there's going be some stuff thats a bit different but obviously if good times are calling is on the album then there's going to be some more of the same
to be honest having not heard final recordings/demos its impossible to speculate anyway
for now sycophant/GTAC in my opinion will definately be on the album, tear me apart may get jibbed with all the oasis comparisons (unless they've done something brilliant with it which I'm sure they have so never know!)
I love revolver/piercing blues potential, will be very interesting to see what is done with them if anything! revolver lyrics were on the that kiss vinyl so im guessing that there is a plan for that
More than a weekend away is another track that will be interesting to hear, could be very elbow like

Spot on Luke. It is my favourite of all the tunes we've heard, can imagine it all stringed up and that

I'll read it in work at weekend. Something is telling me that it's only a tiny article, no interview or anything

As I'm kind.....for those who don't have Q
The Courteeners want your dosh!
"IF YOU HAD TO write a list of the best things you've heard in the last 20 years we'd be up there with this album", says The Courteeners' frontman Liam Fray (left) 'excuse me Peter Andre would like his vest back now....' discussing the follow-up to his bands debut, St.Jude. Recorded with Suede producer Ed Buller, songs for the as-yet-untitled set include Sycophant, Good Times and Cross My Heart And Hope To Fly: "Good tunes that people can go out and have a good time too", explains Fray. Be warned, though: those expecting an In Rainbows-style freebie are out of luck. "I'm with Lily Allen on this whole file-sharing thing," adds Fray. "Kids should get their fucking pocket money out. I had three paper rounds when I was young so I could get CDs". New album due out February 2010
