Undoubtably the easiest Oasis song to acoustic is Live Forever, I'm not to good myself at guitar but this was my first song that I could play really well. Alot of Courteeners stuf is fair easy, Acrylic, Please Don't, NNF, An Ex Is An Ex. And although it is strangely out of place, I love playing Maries the Name (of his latest flame) by elvis, I love that song. I'm trying out The Universal by Blur a the moment, fair easy but it's just not the same without strings. Oh, and of course the La's can't go without a mention, most album tunes are basic.

I know it's a little of topic but is has been mentioned before that it is brilliant what Noel can do with 4 or 5 chords, and that's what makes him amazing. So Oasis stuff is great to start with, though I haven't gone much further than first 2 albums since I'm not a huge fan. I'd definitely go for the book Ferg mentioned.

this is all very good but for the same stuff for free try; www.ultimate-guitar.comalso try some melodys now instead of the chord sequences, i recommend man of mystery by the shadows. if youve got wonderwall ur not gonna get much better by doing more oasis stuff but that might not matter to you.

Teach yourself, thats what I did and im amazing But to answer your question... Try something without the 'C' chord in, I hated that chord near the start, proper strain for me.

modesty =) take on all these now ; Amaj Amin, Cmaj, Dmaj, Dmin, Emaj, Emin, Gmaj, then do F, B, Bm, Fm.
there the most common, get them mastered, very easy to find diagrams on google, tbh, it depends how you wana play, if you wana know the instrument inside out you need to play alot and do lots of different things but if you just wana learn you favourite songs you can take it easy as most of courteeners/oasis are at the wonderwall difficulty level. about.

lol Ste, C was the first chord I taught myself, no strain, all chords are fair easy, apart from maybe F, that used to be a big strain. The hard part is stringing certain chords together and transposing them, but like most of you say, it is something you just have to practice and practice and practice, I won't try bosting my guitar genius, because I'm nothing more than average, but I've played for about 1 year and it's going well, just practice. Though I haven't ever taken lessons, if you can afford to fork out an extra few quid then it's definitely worth doing, learn alot quicker of course from learning from an expert. You mite not be comfortable with lessons but it's all up to you. I'll stop going on now xxx

If you have about £50 to spare or you do torrents theres a great program called Guitar Pro. It’s a great bit of software thats cool for converting midi files to TAB. Letting you play over the song minus the part you want to play. Also if you check ultimate guitar you’ll find oodles of guitar pro files tabbed out as good and in some cases better than any books you can buy with all the instruments and all guitar parts. I seem to recall a torrent with about 30,000 guitar pro tabs a few years ago, enough to keep anyone happy.
You’ve got to hide your love away- Is a great strummy song to play with plenty of chord changes but nice and easy.
