Im goin the oldham one hopefully will get in
The NME review is a load of bollocks in my opinion
the album is no where near perfect and I agree it has its faults but 3/10 is ridculous and in my opinion is an attempt by that journo to try and reduce the hype around the band by ridiculing them - another example of how the south doesn't like the north he even mentions Liam being the lad rock whipping boy or something daft
all he does throughout is go on about the north and oasis with the occasional piss take of dodgy lyrics - I do agree however about strife can't believe how different it is on the album

The NME are a bunch of cunts, if they didnt discover them or try to make them then there classed as shite.
Their over paided pothead student wankers, they sit around all day blowing hot air up each others arseholes instead of doing there jobs and trying to give unsigned bands a shot and reviewing all music from a neturals view point. If the NME was a horse it would have been shot back in 98.
Here endeth the rant!!!

tbh mike i wouldnt say theres much hype to reduce. AND liam fray is kinda the example people use to rip into this sort of music, even if it is wrong. sorta how fans of authenticity over imagination rip into muse as the prime example.
but i do think he seemed to review the genre rather than the album within the genre. that aint right, its like saying i dont like this band cus tht sort of music isnt to my taste.

NME is just one random guys opinion in the end, shame he was a cock about the genre like you said
courteeners was a wrist band jobby though so Im guessin its just first there, queue up, first in
Im goin the oldham one which will prob be pretty mad I think! gettin there for 12 but feel that might not be early enough!

sure you'll be fine mate, only because HMV is tiny and that it's a buffalo gig wasn't exactly mad, remember when I was about your age 15/16? goin oasis trying to get to the front ended up with me losing my trainers
they'll prob sign anything as long as you don't bring a whole collection it will look like your gna sell stuff on ebay haha

I'm not going today, not overly keen on the Wheel myself (feel they left too many of their best tunes off the album as well e.g. Big Issue, Smash it Up)....but I don't recommend turning up at 4pm. Get there at 5 and you'll still be more than easily able to get in I reckon

yeah they could have put more on the album and I don't see why they didn't, guess they wanted it a bit shorter
another good song i haven't heard in ages which I thought was one of their better songs was 'let it go'
maybe saving it for a b-side to 'tell the world'? heres hoping anyway
