I just looked at the charts and I was suprised to see 'Get On Your Boots' only getting in at number 12, I read an interview with Adam Clayton and they asked him how he'd feel if it charted low, and he just said that as long as it's conclusive then it's fine, at least they will know that the public don't like it. But number 12 is strange for U2, such a big band, you'd think that typically it would finish in the top 3, that is the first lead single to chart so low in a long while. I downloaded the album the other day aswell, brilliant album but as HTDAAB the lead single is nothing like the rest of the album, as a matter of fact, tis one of te weaker songs, one song called 'Breathe' is in my opinion one of the bands strongest songs since 'Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For', amazing, but it's all a bit mismatch, 9 of the 11 songs are brilliant but not very consistent. Still, happy to see them still churning out the good stuff, sure a few of you will be downloading/ buying the album, and it's nice to see that the public aren't just buying because of who they are, since that is what they do nowadays.
Tell me what you think if you download the album, some brilliant songs, but not a complete masterpiece, unfortunately.

tbh get on your boots has grown on me on the whole. all they need to do for that song to enter the top 10 is take out the "get on your boots...sexy boots." line cus it isnt catchy and sounds like 50 year olds trying to sound 20.
will be buying the album i imagine.

My friend said the same thing about the chorus as you've said dontask, I find it quite irrelevant to the song, it's about woman taking control and men fucking stuff up in the past, but I can't get my head around the chorus, Bono trying to be to clever. The rest of the song is great though, Edge at his best, I love the riff. If you have the time there is a torrent on mininova for the album, just in case you want to download it, I was to impatient It's great to see the brilliant job that Brian Eno and Danny Lannois have done, they have produced some amazing songs, one song they have done a great job on is Cedars Of Lebanon, the electronics on it are classic Eno production.

I know what you mean, if you pay for it then you make sure that you get your moneys worth. I was just far to eager, it's only the second album that I've ever downloaded prior to release, other being Only By The Night. Usually my desperate way to get a listen, not patient enough.
