I went to watch a few local bands the other day from around my area. The first band were pretty bad. The second had moments of very good music, but had a fucking lunatic lead guitarist who was pretty much just a knob. They were forgetable apart from that. Then the headline band came on. A band called The Shoestrung.
I was instantly impressed. The lead singer and guitarist came equipt with a harmonicer. I am a big fan of that instrament and think it is under used today. That gave them bonus points. Not only that but the lead singer had a class voice that sounded a bit like Jaggers. They are a rock rhythm and blues band as well. Something different for a new young band today. All very good musicians. Two very good singers. Good tunes.

I am not sure how many of you on here are going to be a fan of this type of music but I am very impressed.
