Oh no 85% were ppl waiting for phonics - I mean would stand there 2 hours with no drink/piss break. Anyway we shouted danced and sung our hearts out liam blew me a kiss (well I think it was aimed at me) and a good time was had by all....left about half way through phonics set.....roll on 2009 for another round of courteeners gigs. That was my 7th nothing major my some standards on here but still I haven't never felt the need to go and see any other band so many time ;D

Yeah I was a bit of a johnny come lately with the cribs but seen them twice this year and liked them but didn't really get it until leeds fest and them totally blew me away...so have my ticket for the ritz. Reckon I would never get sick of seeing them but still not obsessed like I am with teeners.
Have no real desire to meet cribs or any other bands - having spoken to teeners a couple of times I would love to again - I have all magazines they have been in etc...it's weird how one band and capture your interest in such a way!
Obviously the fact that fray is sex on legs helps but it's all about the music! The more stuff I listen to the more I like em...there is so much boring same old crap out there!

Same, I find myself going to less gigs now and listening to less music from now, it's all going a bit rubbish mostly, Courteeners are one of the few bands I can still get proper excited about and motivated to buy a ticket. Even after 11 times, you see the tour dates and you can't help yourself.
What's the set list been on the Stereophonics tour? For Courteeners I mean, I've had a look at the phonics set list though and it looked proper good, regretting going to Glasvegas instead now (though it was an alright gig)

I'm seeing them in Sheffield with the 'phonics THIS FRIDAY, only bought tickects when i heard The Courteeners were supporting, everyone knows a few 'phonics songs anywhoo, aha. This'll be about the third time i've seen them live, the best was Nottingham though, that was fucking mental! Me and my mate, right at the front, happened to grab the attention of Liam and Campbell, and Liam in full form blew us both a kiss. The crowd was really imense then aswell, I think the bouncers got tired of chucking people out for crowd surfing. A proper good night.

And that's the thing, my mate bought me their greatest hits as a momento 'cause we're going to see them and she's a big fan and i was proper surprised at how many tracks i actually knew. We're knocking off anything we have to do on Friday and getting there bright and early for a chance to get near the front, did you get near the front? Anywhoo, i can't wait now (:

I did hear a couple of good reviews of the courteeners performance though from people stood near me, bloody right too they were fantastic.

Sounds like a good night you had! What struck me aswell on first meeting the lads were how nice and down to earth they all were, not saying that i didn't expect it but some bands who haven't even got a fan base yet are utter pricks.
