Im guessing that some people who post on here are from Greater Manchester, got my ballot paper this morning and just wondered what everyone thinks about it (if you're old enough to vote like)
Fair important as its gna happen in the next 5 years when we may be (or if you already are) working in manchester (not a clue what il be doing then but you never know)
Personally we pay enough tax on the roads and petrol!
Ignore if you don't give a shit haha

my psychology teacher was on about this today, he IS from manchester.
he said it wont get passed as the only people who will vote are the youth cus they all use public transport whereas actual drivers wont want this.
a more practical and fair solution is the reduction of train prices.

Im from outside of the M60 (outer zone) so if by 2012 I am working in Manchester I would have to pay the congestion charge
More funding into transport and less traffic is great but people like their cars and won't use the improved systems anyway imo
To be honest though I just can't see the benefit from it
Add to that the fact motorcycles don't have to pay it! wankers lol

Im a driver and I dont work in the City Centre anymore, I will be voting against the Congestion Charge. Even if I used public transport, which I used to do when I worked in town, The disruption that it will all cause getting into town will be a nightmare. I work for the Council and so would get free parking in Manchester, dont know if Council workers will be exempt from the CC though!
