i've bin to a couple on me tod, including the courteeners at the apollo. dunt matter really, you bump into people and get talking. banter.
as for the best frontman of this century, i'd like to suggest whatshisname from kasabian. saw their glastonbury set in 2007 before the arctics came on and i just loved how it got right into it and really interacted with the crowd. thats what i like bout mr fray too.

My opinion is of little importance since I haven't ever seen anyone live, but I would like to say Fray is up there, but I don't really know. mate, how can this be? ?? I would have to say the best front man I have seen was probably Tom Meighan from kasabian. He is an outstanding front man. Great voice, great stage presence. He is so energetic. Fantastic. YES! mate im with you Tom Meighan gives 120% every gig. every gig is his favorite gig ever and he peforms like every gig will be his last. amazing to be part of when your there.

I would say Tom would be up there - never seen Kasabian live (soon to be rectified) but on TV really looks like he gets the crowd going..obviously Fray would be up there and the Jarmens the energy they give is electric...other than that Paul Smith is an amazing front man - gives 110%. And he is about the most local current famous for me so always got love for maximo park...
I know there is not alot of love for pigeon detectives on here but Matt Bowman puts on a performance with all that jumping and kicking..

yeah and it's not just north east he is from about as close to my hometown as anyone decent has come! he's from billingham about 15 miles from where I live! Not too much home grown talent so we need to big it up!

When I first read the above comments the first thing that came to mind was
'who is Paul Smith?'
just about sums up the point that Upton is completely right
I then googled Paul Smith and found out he's the guy from Maximo Park......
best frontman? Seriously?
Couldn't agree more with Upton, maybe its the warrington connection
anyway each to their own and all that jazz but Paul Smith? Not a chance

Don't mess with Paul Smith, he's amazing! So is Maximo Park. Tom from Kasabian is a great frontman too. But my all time favourite frontman would be Sam Roberts.
