arctic monkeys at the cinema

i went to the arctic monkeys apollo gig at the cinema last night.

any thoughts?

i thought it was a little bit arty, they should have made it like there and then (oasis at maine road).

not so sure about alex turner, the whole dropping the guitar on the floor thing and walking off at the end of the gig was a bit iffy.

nothing better to do on a tuesday night in blackburn tho!

nothing better than abit of guitar destruction. ive heard it focuses too much on the band and not the crowd. too much. i skipped the chance to go cus ill be buyin the DVD.

i went as well, loved it to be honest, really liked what they did with it. raises the bar in live dvd im my opinion!

im not to sure about it, id rather have a straight up dvd, nothing fancy, lots of croud footage. it was all a bit fancy for my liking.

I went to the gig so I'll be interested to see what they've done with this. When you say its a little "fancy" what do you mean ?

I've not been to see it yet...but I've heard nothing good about it sadly
One thing which strikes me from what a lot of people say about it is that it has the feel of like a farewell film almost, like its the end of them. I can't see the Arctic Monkeys lasting for much longer personally, or at least I hope not. If they can keep on delivering I hope so, some of the best gigs I've ever been to were Arctic Monkeys gigs but things look like they've changed so much since LCCG and that.
Perhaps one may draw Yoko Ono comparisons with a certain Alexa Chung
