Not a fan of the pistols, nor punk in general. But to be fair I have heard very little by Pistols and only heard a best of by The Clash so I think I'm best off not judging.

Why don't Austrians care whether their lovers are 4, 14 or 40 years old? Because one size Fritz-all.

Joe Strummer and The Clash are so much better than the Pistols it's painful.

Aye I know, Pistols are superb but the Clash were ten times better, although had their been no Sex Pistols there would have in no way been the Clash. Strummer would still be messing around with the 101'ers The Clash took it to the next level though, they were wasted on punk I suppose, the amount of talent stretched across those first three records, and even glimpses of ones after that. Ramones were immense as well, may I add, but were incredibly limited and it became a dated cliché after a few records.

Ramones become a bit of a self parody really. i mean every album had fucking brilliant songs but there was a load of shit on them aswell.

Nearly all punk became a self parody I suppose, thats why the Clash were good to move on (though their later albums were rubbish) and the Pistols were good to split up and Lydon forming the nearly as good PiL. But by like 81 punk was pretty rubbish, far more exciting things were going on elsewhere

Ah right aye I'm on about British ones mostly, and the ones that were more in the public eye like SLF, the Damned, the Ruts, all those being examples of ones going stale when the punk scene was fizzling out, I'm sure there's a lot of great other punk music since then but I'm not switched on to a lot of it, particularly the American stuff

I hope you dont mind someone who got thrown off an Oasis board for being too aggressive then.
I think the middle class boy from Lincoln who lives with his mum took exception to me calling him a c**t on his own forum!
So I promise to behave and just write poems here!!

I got me account deleted on an Oasis forum for calling the lad who runs it a c**t.
Truth must have hurt.
I thought it amusing as most Oasis fans behave like hooligans anyway.
