Bo Jangles was quality, only second time ive seen/heard it live
Got a dogy recording on my phone can make out some lyrics etc
From last night can remember 'tearing around st.anne's square, there's a policeman down, no-one cares'
Not too sure if thats exactly right but think its about right
Anyone from manc may guess what its about, but I don't wanna speculate shite

Well I've not posted in here for a while.
To be honest I haven't spent much time thinking about or listening to them in the last couple of months. The album release felt like a climax, and their academy 1 gig more like the end of a ride.
I guess that makes tonight a recap. It was almost everything I had experienced over the last 2 years (almost to the day from their first ever gig.) The chaos Fallowfield Hillbilly and Slowdown cause, the mass hugging and sing-a-long Not Nineteen Forever never fails to produce. To the infuriating Liam solo set half way through the gig. To be fair No You Didn't sounded better than the album version, but I have never been a fan of Yesterday, Today And Probably Tomorrow. Above all I just think it's a bit disrespectful to the band, Liam did the rounds as a solo artist for a while without making too many inroads, it was the band that put him in this position. I've met him a couple of times, stretching back to a pub in Leigh around Feb 07. He's a top guy and completely down to earth, however this bit of the act makes it more like Liam Fray And The Courteeners. But my word he is a great front man. And I was delighted to see Trying Too Hard To Score return to the live act, reminiscent of the early gigs. Simply put they were brilliant tonight.
I Have seen them play in front of 50 people in an old mill in Salford and now 4000 at the Apollo. And tonight they made it feel everybit as special and intimate as they did way back then.
Once again I leave a Courteeners gig thinking this is one of those "I was there" moments.

yh i agree with prety much all of that, especialy regarding NYDNYD. the album/single version was a dissappointment for me, but the solo version from last night was brilliant.
although i personally enjoyed the little liam-only section. An Ex Is An Ex For A Reason was beautiful

Haha I totally agree too, I was so happy they played Trying Too Hard to Score although some people by me were just talking the whole way through it which I found rude I thought the violinists were a nice touch, you could tell Liam was really concentrating to stay in time but that made it special cause it was really unrehersed
