I'm a bit gutted, i've always loved them (sorry if it's already been posted, i couldn't find anything about it in the search though) Announcement. It may not come as a great surprise to many of you but unfortunately after much consideration we've decided that Milburn has run it's course. There's been no malice or falling out between us and we still remain friends and supporters of each other as we move on and explore new musical horizons.
Not everyone in the music media understood us but you the fans did and over the last 2-3 years we've shared some amazing experiences that we'll never forget and we feel very privileged to have done so.
We want to sincerely thank everyone of you that supported us along the way. It's been overwhelming.
For this reason we'd like to play one last gig. There's also a few songs left over from the second album that we're going to make available. The songs are District Line and Stay At Home and we'll post details on how to get them as soon as possible.
The gig will take place on 24th May at Sheffield Academy.
Thanks again, Love as always
Tom, Joe, Greeny and Louis

Chel, if your gutted I'm sorry nothing worse when a band you love split up. (I still haven't got over the backstreet boys)
But.....I don't want to seem heartless.....Milburn were not very good (In my opinion)!!
But hey the courteeners are here and they won't be going anywere.....well....just yet anyway!!!

Oi! Less of the negative Milburn comments!
Top band, terribly underrated and a top set of lads.
Record company marketing let them down, as was the release of their debut after Arctic Monkeys.
I've had some of my best ever gig memories watching them, one of my favourite live acts ever purely down to the venues they played and the carnage. How many bands can say that they had to cancel a gig because the floor they were on (1st floor) was about to cave in?
Gutted for the lads, they never claimed to be world beaters. They didn't talk they're material up to be something its not, no egos just went out there as a group of mates and did their own thing and had a top time doing.
Bring on their last gig at Sheffield Academy in May in what will be my nineteenth time seeing them!!

Echo the comments above! Great band to see live, some great tunes but ultimately were never going to change the face of the music scene. That said friendly bunch of lads and they left a legacy of a few songs that will always give me the memories of some great gigs and a top night out. Music can just be fun, doesn't always have to be precious!
