Would you mind Ads in the forum?

I know I wanted the forum ad-free and all that but those proboards ads aren't usually related and if they have music ones there usually something like the kooks or shiting for girls.... errrrr!

So maybe there could be a chance for the forum to display relevant ads??

Let's say we managed to get the official merch store to advertise on the main page, this is an ad I wouldn't mind because it's related, also things like recordstore with direct links to purchase the single.
I just hate it when you go on a band site and you get ads for teeth straightening or whatever! There the ones who just want the cash and don't think of the fans

It could be a way to generate some cash for S&C's projects and releases, I don't know anything about the process or how much it would make us but I thought I'd suggest it to you lot.

What do you think?

do u have a say in what get advertised on this forum? cus iv just seen an advert for loans, which has nothing to do with this forum!! ah well!

Those type of ads are direct from proboards, that's why this is free

So if I paid around £7, that gets 14 credits, these can be then assigned to months to have the forum ad-free (7 credits is equal to 50,000 page views)

Last months the 7 credits were enough to keep S&C ad-free but this month has seen a dramatic increase in page views as the ads came back a week or so ago!

Anyway, having your own ads isn't against proboards TOC's, so it would be possible to make the forum a bit of cash if ads were introduced.

Nothing over the top, just 1 on the main page maybe
