I grew up on my dad listening to a lot of Paul Weller, the Clash, the Pogues and Oasis....bands I carry a love of to this day. Particularly the Days of Speed live acoustic album by Paul Weller and Wild Wood also by Paul Weller, they were the two I remember the most. Days of Speed were a little later on. First album I bought were Franz Ferdinand's debut album and the first song that proper like mesmerised me was seeing There Is A Light That Never Goes Out on VH1, I remember watching it like "What on earth is this?"

I cant honestly remember. I remember the first album I ever bought was Whats the story when i was about ten. I remember me and my mate saving up money to go to the shop together and buy it with our pocket money. Michael Jackson was def up there with some albums that I first got.
My dad used to love a bit of Queen, Led Zep, Dire Straits and The Who as well so that was banged out. He also fucking liked abba, who I cant stand. Used to do my head in.

My dad has loads of vinyl and used to have it all in a cabinet in the front room....I used to spend hours just looking at all the pictures and I remember when I found the queen bicycle album and opened it up and been horrified at the picture (loads of naked women on bikes) and just closing it and not daring to look again!
I also remember been about ten and hanging out the car window in Whitby singing Ebenezer good by the Shamen - I can't believe my dad didn't stop me! It was only years later when I realised what the song was about it came back to me. Loads of tourists and a ten year old shouting Es are good out the car window!
First single I bought - Band Aid when I was about 4 I loved it! My dad used to point to pic of the spoilt girl on front and say it way me! the cheek...
