Don't think this got a mention in the Q magazine thread but in the Oasis bit of Q different famous bods picked their favorite Oasis tune....our Liam's was Stay Young (cracking track been listening to Masterplan lately).
If I can be arsed I'll pull together the top 20 and who picked em and post it on here...but it got me to thinking..
What is everyones favorite Oasis track...if you had to pick? and why??
I'm holding mine back as I have not been able to make a final decision??

Tough un that, very very very tough. Theres so many aint there? Forgive the dated comment but its the soundtrack to so many of our lives! haha Slide Away probably, but its a close call with that, Rocking Chair, Bring it on Down, Mucky Fingers, Champagne Supernova, D'yer Wanna Be a Spaceman and Listen Up.
James Skelly said in Q that his favourite Oasis tune was D'yer Wanna Be a Spaceman...ultimate respect

Maybe we should say top 3? Still difficult but maybe choosing just one is not possible.

I dont think you can ever give a difinative answer for this. This will change hourly, depending on what album you listen to. Its hard to say top 3 albums let alone top 3 songs. Even harder to say favourite ever Oasis song.

Very difficult....................... anyway, here it goes.
Live Forever, Champagne Supernova, Bring it on down, Columbia, Rock and Roll star.
Yes, all from first 2 albums, but I can't get to grip will any newer stuff. Oh and yes, it will go changing every other day.

I would say that mine is Listen Up at the moment only because Listen Up has become that tune that I just have to play in the morning if you know what I mean..

has anyone ever heard "Take Me"? I think it's an early demo.
absolutely love it, not the best lyrically, but really reminds me of early Stone Roses.

I think for me it would definately have to something off WTSMG.
I remember buying it when I was 14 and sitting in my front room at mum and dad's listening to it on a Saturday teatime. It was dark and I just looked out at the view from the balcony at the sea and the lights. When my dad came in I was like 'Dad listen to this it's amazing'
So maybe Wonderwall or Champayne Supernova...
but then Rock and Roll star, Whatever, Slide away, Some might say, Stand by me, Stop Crying your heart out (when they played in when we got knocked out of world cup)...
I think Oasis take a lot of stick for 'not been as good as they used to be' when there are few bands who have achieved what they have....but we're back to the good old British way of pulling ppl down aren't we!
