"In the dressing room the traditional debate has started about 'The Top 10'. This means the Top 10 bands of all time. No solo artists allowed. No female artists allowed. No collectives allowed (Public Enemy etc.). This is the 1,000th time we’ve been here with this. It never gets any less interesting for me. For the record, THE DEFINITIVE Top 10 is this.."
1: The Beatles 2: The Rolling Stones 3: The Who 4: Sex Pistols 5: The Kinks 6: The La's 7: Pink Floyd 8: The Bee Gees 9: The Specials 10: (Peter Green's) Fleetwood Mac
Any thoughts? I pretty much agree actually, notably the Specials as people forget the influence and the radicality of what they did

I'd say Nirvana and The Smiths should both be up there but I can't think who to take down. Perhaps the La's, as great as they were like

The Clash took the change and moved it on though. I'd say The Clash were better but the Pistols more revolutionary

I'd have the Stone Roses, the Smiths up there definitely, one of mine would be U2 which i'm sure you all disagree about but I fucking love them cos' I were bought up listening to them, and as much of a tw*t Bono is they are fucking great musicians in my eyes. And the Bee Gee's??? What's going on there?? Oh and Nirvana are fucking great aswell, they only band I could drop though would be Bee Gee's, the rest are to good.

To be honest, U2 give me headaches. Or maybe it's just Bono.
Also, do the Bee Gees count? They sound like girls to me (yes, I know they're not), and it says no females.
I reckon, otherwise, that list is almost bang on, to be honest. I might've had the Stone Roses in there, but I think that's more down to personal choice.
