When was planning my bands to go see at V realised there was nothing else on when the View were on...so dug out my copy of hats of to buskers and remembered how much I liked it! Anyone know why they have been so quiet and have released another album??? Didn't go see em at leeds last year cos were on at same time as RHCP (who were crap)....

Glasvegas, Sergeant, The Scalies, The Brogues, The Law, mega still got to give The View credit, first album is cracking and by all accounts the second is sounding even better The Law are a better band in my opinion. oi Oi. Big changes in The Brogues, Marc has left the band and Ronnie (Kyle from The Views brother) is taking over singing. Marco (The guy The Don by The View is wrote about) is joing the band on guitar. Exciting times ;D

I've heard they were awful at Glastonbury and all, they were meant to be class at Leeds though, and their own gigs are meant to be magical - I'll find out soon enough, seeing them in Manchetester in a week or two. Got the album on pre-order, Monday shall be a special day

Bland as f**k! agreed. Dont know what all the fuss is about. I like the View. Dont take themselves to seriously yet still credable. Got some good party tunes as well. Really enjoyed their first album, looking forward to their next offering.

Glasvegas mean more than the View though, I dunno, the View are all well and good and that, but Glasvegas has substance and great songwriting and all that. Not that its always a bad thing like but the View were the same old story and we'd heard it all before, nothing new. Glasvegas are innovators

Depends what you want from your bands. I love lyricists, such as Mr Fray, Alex Turner, Guy Garvey, Bowie, Morrisey etc etc, so when I heard about glasvegas I thought I was going to enjoy what they had to offer, but I dont. I dont think much of their tunes and the lead singers voice really annoys me.
Not all music has to be made to make a difference. Not all music has to be new and inivative. The View are a fun band. They are good live, catchy tunes and sing along choruses. You could say, go and listen to the f*cking Kaiser CHiefs or fratellis if you want that i suppose, but I really cant listen to those two bands. The view are a bit edgier (sorry for spelling, not my strong point) and at the end of the day, you cant help what you like.
