Bob Dylan is one of the greatest poets/songwriters ever. Fakkkt.
'Blowin in the wind', 'Masters of war', 'A hard rains gonna fall' and 'girl from the north country' are my own personal favourite songs not just by Dylan but of all time.
Everyone should invest in a "greatest hits" album or whatever, just for starters.

i love blowin in the wind. i've not heard alot of dylan, but so far, yes the lyrics seem to live up to his reputation, but the music seems a bit samey... =S
but like i said, i need to listen to more.

i just got really, really into his stuff recently (mostly cause of his connection to edie) and it's pretty much impossible to keep up with his massive catalog. but maggie's farm is one of my fav songs, i sing it to myself at work whenever my boss irks me. & some songs, like rainy day woman....growing up in biker (harley) bars they are sort of like childhood staples ha ha. leopard skin pillbox hat is pretty great too.
actually...blonde on blonde in general is probably one of the best albums i've ever owned.

This is a guy I so desperately wanted to get into, just for the sheer influence he’s had on other artists I like and the amount of work he has out there. So I bought 3 cds bringing it all back home, John Wesley Harding and Nashville skyline. After a few weeks of playing sadly I just couldn’t get it as much as I’d of liked. Maybe I picked the wrong albums I dunno. The thing is I hear others doing his songs and I think wow great song. Track down the original and often get left somewhat nonplussed.
Favs songs have to be Mamma you been on my mind Don’t think twice Hurricane
Album prolly Blood on the tracks
